I'm just curious, how could it be such a huge surprise? I mean, I'm not a woman but I think I'd be relatively aware of when semen has entered my body, thus leading to at least the possibility of pregnancy.

I dont know everything about womens health, but it sounds like you have a grocery list of symptoms. I have had a few scares with girls before though that really turned out to be nothing. Go get one of those ept tests. Wheres your bf? Does he know about this?

 

I'm pregnant right now with my second set of twins and my husband and I used protection too. Nothing is 100% effective I guess. You have all the symptoms that I did with both pregnancies. I would go see a doctor or get a home test as soon as you can. Do you want to have a baby?

Well it may be happening so theres no point freaking out now..what are your parents like about this? Would they support you?

Being pregnant doesn't have to be the end of your life...if your parents are supportive you can stay with them, and they cant really say anything if you were using protection. It just means your education will have to wait...but a lot of people have to go to school again in their 30s anyway to keep ahead of the labour market. And if your boyfiend stays then thats even better.

my experiance when i got pregnant sounds like what you've described.....but i also just KNEW. even before i had the test i just knew......it was an intutition thing and every women i've talked to has said the same thing. i was also 20 when i got pregnant and was in no position to have a child. if you need to talk you can pm me anytime.....

You should just run to the nearest drugstore/supermarket and pick up an at-home test. Find out tonight.

You need to take a pregnancy test, because whatever the outcome, the sooner you take some action, the better. If you are pregnant, it is not going to go away by itself.

I am sorry you are so upset. I hope things are OK.

Take the test with your first morning urine, it is MUCH more accurate that way, as not only is the pee concentrated, but your HCG levels are higher early in the day, and you will get more accurate reading.

It sounds like you don't want to keep it, but you might not be pregnant at all. Did you just use a condom or are you on the pill?

But I mean, hey, you discussed this beforehand with your boyfriend and you know what you were gonna do in the case of all contingencies, right?

"Should the protection fail, I want our child to have a father and a mother, so we'll marry"

or

"I don't want children, so we BOTH agree to abortion/adoption/whatever in case of pregnancy"

right?

It's sorta crazy that we can put a man on the moon, give people a completely new face, do all kinds of technological & medical stuff, but we can't make 100% effective BC pills...

 

1) Some astronauts have died - it's not 100%
2) The face thing, we'll see how long it lasts. Stupid frenchwoman will probably smoke it off

etc.

 

You may not feel ready for a baby, nor even feel that you want one at this point in your life, but things happen for a reason. What the reason may be right now might not be clear to you, but only time will tell.
