you should feel scratchy stubble in a few hours. Is feels neater and cleaner, but its alot of upkeep. I usually shave every day, every time I take a shower.
I generally make it a rule to remain shaved, but at least once a year I let it grow back with the sole intention of shaving it all off again. As a rule, it takes about 6 weeks to grow back from nothing to what appears to be pretty much a full bush, so I tend to do the last shave on Valentine's Day, and then leave it until my birthday on 28th March - so, at the moment I have a couple of weeks' growth there (just about long enough to pinch & pull at the hairs). I hate this half-way stage of growth, but in another couple of weeks it should be at a 'trimmed' level. Then, after another couple of weeks it'll be back to full growth, all ready for shaving again. You might wonder why I do this. Basically, it's because when you remain shaved all the time you tend to forget how much better it feels that way, so by frequently letting it grow & then going totally smooth again you really appreciate the benefits, and that brand new sensation of baby-smoothness is heavenly.
Gaaah it itches alot and there is alot of red dots above my penis (at my pantline and going down to the base) is this normal?
For the first time it's perfectly normal. Your skin is still very sensitive, although this will sort itself out after you've shaved a few times, when your skin gets accustomed to it.
Question: I trim, but I have never shaved. What is the best way to get rid of all of the hair on the testicles?
I used to shave my balls and around the base of my cock, but now found it much easier to cover them in Veet hair remover and lay on the bed for 20 mins watching telly, then have a shower.... Job done. Hair remover seems to last longer as well, before I had to shave every 3-4 days now its a once every week and a bit
The easiest way when going from full bush stage is to remove most of the hair using an set of electrical personal grooming shears without a comb (Grade #0) to remove the main part. Then have a very hot bath, allowing the region to be shaved to soak well. Then, using plenty of soap lather up well, softening all the hairs. Using a single bladed disposable razor (my personal preference is the Bic Orange 1, for sensitive skin), hold the skin reasonably taut & draw the razor over it in long, gentle strokes - the reason I specify a single bladed razor is that I find the multi bladed ones tend to get the gaps between the blades choked up in no time. Don't apply any pressure, as the blade will find its own way along the contour of the skin. You may well see small traces of blood. However, these are not major cuts into the skin & are nothing to be concerned about - it's just where the heads of some of the hair follicles have been skimmed & the hot water always makes it look worse than it actually is. When shaving under the testicles, don't even consider trying to work with a mirror - that makes things more complicated than ever - just work by feeling your way with fingertips until it feels right & no more stubble is appearing on the blade. As a useful tip, if possible, a razor that's been used at least once before is better than a brand new one as the previous usage adds a honing to the edge, whereas a new blade can be quite rough, albeit microscopically.
I use a Philips Body Groomer about every other day. I use it in the shower with a good shaving cream. You have to use no pressure at all-- I mean, it should glide along, barely touching your skin. After getting out and drying, it helps to cover the area with a deodorant stick. Sounds weird, but it really does cut down on bumps and ingrown hairs. Be sure to wear loose clothing and keep the area cool and clean. Don't let yourself get all sweaty without showering immediately.
ok so i did it again, 2nd time, i was gonna grow it back but i was gettin sick of it again. This time i did it in the shower, no shaving cream, just the water, got a lot closer (well, i didnt use shaving cream last time i used shampoo) and it feels really smooth, like SO smooth and i hardly cut myself this time and it doesnt itch! When i masturbate now i can feel it and its so nice
Remember, a liberal application of baby talc afterwards adds to the smoothness & avoids any rash. Right now I'm in the middle of my annual pubic growing phase, where I shave on Valentine's Day, then let it grow until my birthday, 6 weeks later on 28th March. In this way I get to remind myself why I keep it shaved & really get to appreciate, once again, that newly shaved sensation. Right now I could pass for 'trimmed', but I feel extremely uncomfortable with the hairs there. It's constantly sweaty & I am increasingly aware of the subsequent odour - something that men who have never shaved might not even be aware of. Fair enough, biologically it's a natural dour that serves a purpose with the pheromones given of to attract a mate, sexually, but I think that although the biology may well remain, the instinctive reaction towards those signals have changed over the aeons of evolution. After all, the time at which a woman should be at her most appealing, sexually, is when she's having her period, as she is giving off scent signals like mad that she's ready to be inseminated - precisely the time at which is out of bounds for sex for most of us nowadays. The sooner I'm able to get rid of this hair & back to smoothness the better.
first time shaving, it'll take a while to grow back... but after shaving it for a long time, it grows back realllllly quick..
^Oh cool. After first time i did it, it itched like mad and i found it got sweaty REALLY easy espeshly when the stubble was back and certain activities meant the stubble was scratching me. That kinda sucked.
I've been shaving around my balls and dick for years (better BJs), and the skin seems to get used to it after awhile. At first, I'd get all the itching and red bumps, but that's not happened for years. I just have to make sure I do it about every couple of days, and try not to go "against the grain." Going against the grain is a smoother shave, but that's trouble when those hairs try to pop back through the skin. Hello bumps, and me scratching my crotch in the middle of the mall. I read someone used hair remover. Wouldn't that burn like hell?
I shave my balls too. But lately I heard some guys trim the hair instead. How do you do that? I mean, which hair do you shave and which don't? I've never heard of it before...
