Okay people

name places on the east coast.... id say from SC up to eh... CT....

that i might not know about. im looking for a place to book a nice trip for dan and i.... either mountains or beach..... um, not somewhere too big and commercial... i want there to be things to do but i also want it to be peaceful and kinda calm/relaxing....

is there anywhere youve been that youd suggest?

i dont wanna go anywhere ive ever been and ive been to the poconos, ... actually dont pick ANYWHERE in PA... the beaches in nj, de, md, va, nc and sc (outter banks)... somewhere different....

ive been goggling places but just from looking on line... well, its hard to tell if some places are really nice or if they are just hyping them up and id be disapointed.

 

You should shed your prejudice of the South and visit Savannah GA. It's pretty cool.

 

You could hike part of the Appalacian Trail.

Smoky Mountains are pretty...or how about Maine?

 

Maine is what I was going to suggest. I hear it's quite nice. You can go on whale watching etc. Kind of interesting. My brothers been there, said he liked it.

ive got a promotional dvd here which i havent watched(or unwrapped) yet, but it looks nice from the cover

 

i will be driving fom fairbanks alaska down to pittsburgh when i get outta the army

so any good tourist points to check out along that route?

any suggested routes to take?

when are you looking to take your trip? if its right now, obviously I'd recommend somewhere south. if its during summer, I'd recommend somewhere north

I have ideas for both seasons, just need to know when you're looking to travel

I'd say niagara falls and toronto....I've been there many times and I've really enjoyed both places....go up to the top of the CN tower in toronto, go to the hard rock cafe, there are tons of things to do there....niagara falls kicks ass too. thats where my wife and I went for our honeymoon, we drove and it wasn't that bad
