okay, so I gotta ask!!!

Well, I guess it's true -nobody's perfect. But what I'd like to ask you all right now is, of all the stupid things people do, what are the most common human imperfections that piss you off the most (in laments terms, your pet peeves are what?)
Mine are as follows: 1) Bad Spelling
2) People who just don't get me when I crack a really bad-ass awesome joke
3) REALLY skinny girls/people who think that they are MASSIVELY obese
4) Two-faced people
5) Self- absorbed people
6) I hate it when my computer chair is facing my bed as I sleep (or the ceiling fan blades -just doesn't happen)
7) Not being able to think of the right word for something (I once spent three hours sleep-deprived trying to figure out what shows like MAD TV are called: Parody. It's parody Dammit!)
8) Algebra
9) three seconds of a REALLY horrible song that get stuck in your head and you repeat over and over for a week.
10) Bad hygiene

Aggressive ignorance.

 

I hate thinking about how that song goes thats always on cartoons like Looney Toons, when the sun comes up in the morning and the day starts, you know, that classical song? And I dont mean Morning Mood by Greig, there is another one and I only remembered it once, and now it escapes me again!

Well, no! hahaha I see what you mean, but what I meant was that the actual tune escapes my memory, but the visual of the scenes from the cartoons the tune is played along with is still there, and its like having an answer on the tip of your tongue but it just wont come out!

Normally I cant stand people who type in words I cant figure out, but in your case I make an exception. I like it!

Just so you know, Athena, Mad TV is called sketch comedy, not parody. A parody is something that directly takes something else and just vaguely changes it for a whole new meaning. Wierd Al is the master of parodys. Although he is pretty annoying.

Aggressive Ignorance is definately one of them, for sure. And when I totally know what I'm talking about, and know for a fact it's the right answer, but nobody understands what I'm saying and assumes I'm just that "stupid little stoner", you know?

Yes, yes I do! thanks for pointing that out -there's another one for my list! And yeah, I've went over parody's in my Senior English class, and someone else told me it wasn't a "parody" either, but I was also just sitting at home sometime later all like "now what word was she arguing with me about? It was that MAD TV word, or well, the word that she described as "not" the right word. But I was going NUTS trying to think of that word. First I thought "paligamy" or however you spell it, then, I was all "pirates, pancakes, pal-leel-or-ag-gom-aayeee.....eallllle.....GAH! WHAT IS THAT 'EFFING WORD????" lol Frickin Webster was no help either - I was calling friends at 2:00 in the morning....frickin sucked, man. I'm just glad it's all over.

I hate it when a person is incapable of performing a simple task that you have been teaching them over and over and over and over and over. Argh.

 

when people cut into my sentences as i'm trying to tell them something that sounds bitchy until you hear the rest and realize it's not at all, and start arguing with me.

when someone is being really professional-robotic and i'm trying to act human and get them to talk to me like a real person, and they just keep repeating themselves.

when someone doesn't understand the meaning behind what another person is saying at takes it at it's surface meaning, without actually thinking about how it could make sense, and starts bitching the person out.

when someone steps on your foot or bumps into you and doesn't apolagize, or doesn't even acknowledge you.

authority trippers.

people who are completely rude to you and act shocked when you call them out on it and treat them as your equals.

when people consider me to be a cliche and so tune out to everything i have to say, thinking they've heard it before, even though they've never taken the time to actually listen...

Sounds almost like another one of my pet peeves; People who walk by you (who know you) and say "hey! how are you?" as if they really care, but then you go to tell them and they just keep on walking by. I mean, what if I really had a problem, ya know????

 

hm, more of an endless list of complaints than a mind fuck....

 

oh yeah, and while I'm at it, I also don't like it when people ask "what's up?" like, SIX million times. Like, right after you tell them "nothin much" and maybe a little something interesting, and then they ask you again, "so what's goin on?" *GRR*

Maybe these are kind of more on the "I have a problem with this" type of level rather than "this freaking ruined my life". I dunno, it's just interesting to see what kind of things annoy people....although, nothing has quite taken me by surprise, guess we are all just a little bit annoyed by one another after all.

 

My 1 and only pet peeve is ignorance with power. From world leaders to my supervisor to muggers bigger than me to kids who can break the law and get away with it.

 

i hate when you are in a car at a stop sign.. and there is another person in a car at another stop sign, like at an intersection.. and you signal for them to go first. and they just drive without waving thanks.. i hate that
