Most of us remember the good old times, with games back in the day,one could spend hours playing these games!!

Im sure we all have great memories of some old games. So anyways,to the poll: Which are your favourites?

Do you like old games,or new games better?

Old games include the arcade classics such as Galaga,etc...The new games are well, games that are newer than this (Halo, etc)

    I PREFER OLD GAMES!!!!!

The new stuff out now is GARBAGE!!!

Ms. Pacman,Frogger,Venture,etc...... THOSE ARE GOOD GAMES!!

    Commodore 64,Colecovision,Atari........

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i can go on and on!!

the new stuff is most definitely NOT garbage...

it's just that the old stuff is much more familiar to me. i was playing games when i was a kid and those hours i spent in front of a super nintendo or sega genesis were magical to me.

i just can't get into that many new games these days. wind waker and twilight princess are probably the two most recent games i actually got excited about...nevermind that...im pretty excited about mario galaxy 2

I enjoy both just as much. Old school nintendo NES, 64 were lots of fun. Still have my systems. Sonic, duke nukem, mario, duck hunter all classics. The new stuff is just as good but i'm getting tired of online play, due to hacking and annoying people who can't stop talking during game play.

If you ask me, it's all a matter of consumer demand.

When the demand for quality goes away, it all becomes about topical selling points (i.e. graphics); the quality, which lies mostly in the deepest mechanics of the game, becomes ignored.

That's why I chose Undecided. There are a few new games out there that have really good gameplay, like Grand Theft Auto,
    Bus driver,

Beyond that, everything else seems like Just another Halo remake (crysis, urban terror, insert fps here) that just tries to fit more polygons in a playfield than the last game.

I like the depth of new games but there are still the golden oldies out there that for some reason haven't been redeveloped. I'm looking at you Panzer General series. I bought PG3 for a few bucks the other day but unfortunately it doesn't like XP and all he resource sites have been taken down 4 years ago. -sigh-

I haven't played tons of games in my life but my favorites are pseudo hardcore console rpgs, mostly newish ones. I've played a few older rpgs, like Dragon Warrior, but I really got into these games:

    Okami (PS2)

    Disgaea (PS2, PSP, DS)

    Persona (PS1, PSP)

    Xeno Gears (PS1)

    Xeno Saga Vol. I (PS2)

I tend to play turn-based and tactics rpgs, but Okami is my absolute favorite game, it was so perfect the way they did the first one so I'm not thrilled that the next one is coming out for DS and without Clover studios people... There may never be another Okami like the first one...

P.S. I have only played the first Okami (not the Wii or DS ones)

My girl asks if N64 is considered old or new.

old games, I hate realism in video games and I like to feel like I'm playing a game. plus I just like bright colors and whatnot

my criteria for old/new would be whether the games were cartridge type or cd

I chose undecided, because while the old games are fun and all, I spend hours a day feeding my MMO addiction. :(

By this rule, the 3DO is considered new.
