Hello, i'm Mariah, i'm 13 and I beleive in things like my topic title. I really beleive that I am an old soul and that I had a past life. In my past life I beleive that i may have been a hippie because the clues are just so obvious. I'm the only 13 year old in my school who knows what it was all about in the 60's and what happend. Do you beleive in all of this? If so what do you think you were?
lol i believe in those things to a certain extent, but thinking your old soul was a hippie, its possible, but i doubt it would be just because you know about "hippies" more then others, and that you like living the lifestyle, thats simply gonna happen depending on THIS life youre in, your experiences in YOUR present life. Besides, i already know i was a pirate . and ive never been a pirate in this life
I have really been thinking about that a lot and talking to some other friends of mine raised as Christians, but are quetioning it extensively. We all have feelings like "I have done this before!" and "I feel like I was there!". When I watch woodstock the movie, I have the overwhelming feeling that I was there, which is physically impossible in this life because I am only 17 (almost 18). It also seems to help understand deja vu and also why bad things happen to good people.
Deju Vu is a starnge feeling, its like woah......i've done this before how weird. Maybe it has something to do with your past life
haha And yeah, stebbo's right. If you think you were a hippie in your past life because you are interested in them and read about them, then that means I am the returned Christ, each of the Beatles, and Hryhorii Grekul (my character for my job).
I agree. I have been a lot of things in my life (punk, emo, goth, skater, metalhead, prep, hippie, hardcore, rocker, grunge, just plain myself, and those one kids obsessed with dragons and fire who don't really have a name for their group/scene/whatever, and I am sure that there are others) and that is the only thing I have had any regressiong or whatever you call them. I would say though, that just because she is a hippie in this life too doesn't nessecarilly mean she is incorrect, but I think if you are basing that you are one because you like hippie stuff, there is a good chance you weren't. I have been drawn to all those groups for one or another reason, and found out something about myself in most or all of them. I feel that after being a hippie, I will be altered in my life more than any other "scene" because before being a hippie I was: A republican, a baptist, a homophobe, anti-femminism (to an extent!!! I didn't beleive in women's work and stuff, but didn't think women were completely equal and they should be submissive and all that stuff), pro-war, pro-Bush and just a whole bunch of junk like that. I started reading about hippies, on hippy.com, actually. Then it changed my mind about a lot of stuff. I decided to then adopt the lifestyle, and things just felt right. Now I feel like I hvae learned what I needed to from my time as a hippie. The world seems fresh and new, and much better and now I feel like I may be meant to go into something else... I don't know if that story was relevant or not, looking back on it now!
Oh yeah! Because I like tie-dye, in my past life, I HAD to be a hippie!!!! Don't jump to conclusions, Junior.
Past lives? Maybe. Was I a hippie? No. Am I? Sure. I think the whole notion of having past lives is quite possible ... there are many cases of people who know ALOT about a random person who has long since passed away. I'm not talking about the whacko who claims to have been Jesus Christ either. I'm talking about Mary Bishop from Wisconson who can tell you everything about some dude named Joseph Billow from Florida who died 60 years ago. I can't say I have had any expiriences where I think i'm reliving a past life. I don't discredit it though.
