Did any of you own a Beetle back in the day. Im restoring this one and its an awesome car. I love Beetles!
wow, that's a righteous vw beetle. i had 3vw's back in the day. a 65 bug, a 68 and a 76 fastback. i love vw's and wish i still had one. they are so easy to work on and repair. your's looks like about a 65, is it? angel
growing up my parents had four bugs, im really sure what years, i just remember them being damn cold to ride-in in the winter. currently im still a wv owner and my family as a whole owns 6 between the five of us.
It's acually a 73 super. You can usually tell by the look of the taillights. The 65 tailights were completely red.
Yep, my folks owned two VWs. A '68 and a '71 superbeetle. I learned to drive using the '68. My mom and dad loved the '68 so much, they went out and got the '71 and we had two VWs parked in the drive. I LOVED to drive them. Way cool!! Daddy was a mechanic and thought they were a great, simple car. I wouldn't mind having one now. Those were the days!!
I dont care too much for the Super Beatle i dont like the strutt suspension system i like the old torsion bar suspension that last for ever and can be used for rough offroads rides.
