One of my best friends is joining the Police Department.

So one of my three closest stoner friends of life, is going to College for Criminal Justice. Soon he'll be doing an internship for the city Police Department, and ultimately wants to become a county Sheriff. He's talked about becoming a Cop long before, but I never really thought much of it, until now. I must say, I am proud of him, and this will be great. He definitely is one of the smartest people I know, most reasonable, and with a strong sense of justice. He's been smoking copious amounts of weed since the beginning of High School, even being a major dealer in our town for at least a year. Just over the past year he grew his own buds in a nice closet setup. However, he cut off smoking as of 8 days ago, as he approaches the internship. He's been making jokes about busting all of our friends smoking at the Burger joint where most of them work. Joking or not, it's not really funny, because who knows how he'll actually end up. He's 19, and he also got engaged a few weeks ago (Which I don't agree with, but I'm supportive). One thing about the city Police Department is they deal with real major and violent crimes as opposed to the sheriffs around the suburbs.

There's really no point to this thread other than to share with you the oddity of being a stoner, and having a stoner friend that ultimately smoked way more weed than myself, that is joining Law Enforcement.

straighten him out now. next time he cracks an "imma bust you guys" joke, tell him how thats not funny, and if he expects to stay friends he would know that thats not funny.

 

I know, and that's how I treat them, and usually it gets me a better position in a situation. And certainly there are some that probably toke themselves. It didn't sound like he was planning on stopping smoking permanently, but heading into the internship he is.

fuck this city's police department!

i thought they had more important shit to deal with, than the cops in my very small hometown who's main job is to bust underage drinkers. anyways, i got assaulted in broad daylight, stuck around for the cops, told them the story, had a license plate number confirmed by three people. they told me they weren't gonna do anything, that my injuries weren't substantial (my head hurt for a good month).
but when i told them they were fuckin worthless, they didn't hesitate to arrest me for disorderly conduct, and try to search my bag for no reason (i didn't let them).
had to go to court three fuckin times, until i got my charge dropped (after not getting arrested within the next three months).

i've tried to get help from the police a few times in my life. at least one other time it was in this certain city. i tried to flag down a cop after almost getting hit on my bicycle. he waived.

so in conclusion,

FUCK THA PO-LICE! i will never try to use their services again. here to protect as serve, my ass.

 

i bet the cop woulda stopped if you'd have flipped him off. seems counter-productive.

Heh.. that's probably for the best. As I've learned in life, even the dearest of "friends" might someday stab you in the heart if they see it will gain them something. Ummm, Plant Head, good luck with that.. hope it all works out for you and your bud.

 

I doubt she'll go through with it.. first she was gonna go to school.. pretty sure that fell though.. then she had a couple other things she was doing or gonna do.. fell through.. like lose weight.. instead she opted for surgery.. so yeah.. she lost weight by sucking it out of her.. and well they don't just hand out badges.. so im pretty sure it's another pipe dream.. but i've been meaning to remove her for awhile now

Be careful, dude... Cops are brainwashed and once you become a cop, you're always a cop, even if it's not your job anymore. I know plenty of cops who are nice people, but they are still cops, and they still slip back into it, even in off-duty situations. Don't trust him once he becomes a cop and don't share your illegal activities with him anymore. He may be your friend, but they train them to be different people, they train them to be manipulative assholes. Be prepared, you might lose your friend before this is all said and done.

i dated a cop, and they definitely try to make them feel fearful of the public. they think we all hate them, and so they act the way they do, which makes us hate them more. lol.
