this is what someone whom i greatly admire told me but an hour ago, about my album Chuck Hall & His Warm Guns Sing Totalitarian Love Babies. that's so damn cool. . if anyone is interested, you can hear all the songs from it at www.soundclick.com/chuckhallhiswarmguns. do listen do listen!!!! *disclaimer: i do not agree with the comment personally, but damn, i sure do like it. .
i already did, but i already told ya what i think everyone should listen to it, its damn good...im sorry, but im not going to say its the best, but its very very very very very good.
i'm not going to say its best, either. . i just quite like that quote, and i shall whore it out now. :H. its definitely not best..... thats just the best quote ever. .
i dont know if i should share the name.... its no one big or anything, just a good friend, but she has awesome awesome taste in music, so it actually means a lot to me.
awww, thats sweet i need to get my lazy ass up and start writing more songs, but i just havent been able to think of anything good that i want to record
i would not mind helping you i quite enjoy helping musicians write songs when they are in writer's block, haha. but man, you have some really good songs already... i probably have around 10 or 11 of them myself, and i know you've got to have more.
hehe, thanks for the offer chuck, but i think that i wanna see what i can do on my own ...it takes me awhile to write some lyrics that im fond of, but i kind of like to know that it was all me doing it, and that i didnt need any help to make it, ya know? i think someday though, we could get together and work on some songs...like, i could focus more on the music aspect of it, and you could focus more on the lyrical part of it another thing i was thinking is maybe someday i could be part of your warm guns , i got bongos, guitars, banjos, all sorts of things. so ya know...maybe someday i could do that i dont have any songs that i have put my heart and soul into since "lovely knowing nothing", but i think tomorrow im gonna work real hard into getting something out. which songs of mine to you have right now? i may have a few you may be intrested in hearing that i could send ya
oh i know what you mean... well, partly. derek and i wrote "i could be you, you could be me," and he wrote at least half of it if not more, but i dont think it ever mattered to me, for without both of out input the song would never have existed. but, the fondness of lyrics thing, i have that bad, man. that'd be groovy. . that's an offer i cant refuse. . the main idea for the name is that i know someday i will have people playing with me, and with this, i dont have to go changing my name or anything... a pretty ingenious idea, if i do say so myself. . hmm im not sure... i've got a few untitleds, crashing waves, one you sent me a long long time ago, sounds like something you'd hear/see on a beach but i dont remember the name... your two new ones, winter's warmth, i wonder what next year will be (which is so much more enjoyable to listen to than my version, i've discovered ), and im sure i'm probably missing a few. i think it would b really interesting to hear you play acoustic folk songs, with no pedals or effects or anything, that'd be damn cool..
ya...you probably have most of the ones that i care about winters warmth is kind of straight forward acoustic/vocal song...except for the hand claps, and the end part... i think one song im gonna record and put up is a cover of me doing joanna newsoms "bridges and balloons"...you can put covers on myspace, right?
youre not supposed to, but it happens all the time. and oh gosh, i really would like to hear your version. . what do you use instead of a harp or should i wait and listen?
i use the guitar, its not exactly, but it sounds really close to what joanna plays capo helps to just wait and you'll hear it
uh...that one guy...duck something or other. you're in good company, haha. i wonder who rated this thread a 1,
