there is a difference between open and free trade and the globalization.

"The greatest threat to globalisation comes from the rich and powerful states failing to make the corrections in the system that would benefit all."
---this is corruption on the part of the corporations, profits before people.

that is want anti globalist are against, be we are all for open and free trade

    big difference

First, he should learn to spell. Decrying liberals for the surge of globalism is diverting truth from the true culprits behind globalism (imperialists). I do agree that markets should be open, but they should be regulated to benefit the communities that generate the product. Globalization as practiced, diverts a majority of the wealth generated to a few, a few that feel entitled to more than any straving child would ever need. Religions have a tendency to support this philosophy as does any republican in this country.

I think "alter-globalization" is a more accurate word than "anti-globalization" when discussing opposition to what is happening right now. I think most people would agree that more connection and intergration among people in the world is a positive thing. But how we choose to connect ourselves and for what reasons also makes a big difference. The type of globalization practiced at the moment is one that is based primarily on economics and the accumulation of wealth, while pushing people, the environment, and local cultures aside. That is the type of globalization I am against, and the one I believe should be opposed, since in the long run it's only going to lead to destruction of the planet and people's livelihoods.
