I need a curtain for my kitchen (not for a window, for a cupboard) that is approx. 5 feet across by 3 feet long (top to bottom) but has the strips of fabric along the top to slide onto a curtain rod......i am looking for organic hemp ones and can only find the regular window size.....and im not that great when it comes to sewing....does anyone know of a place?

Well this might sound a little weird but I am having this as one of my wishes for a long time. Actually the concept of curtains according to me are something thats old fashioned and I often engage in disputes with my hubby. Now I would like to know if there are any other alternatives to the curtains that can be used for the same purpose as the curtains are. Can anyone suggest me anything like this?

You could use the iron on hemming stuff to "sew" some fabric into what you want.

sewing isn't as hard as it looks...especially curtains. you just need to fold a piece of the fabric over for the tube and sew a straight line to fasten it-i got a really cool thin cotton throw for christmas, and since i have ten billion quilts i just sewed a piece of it over to make a tube and now it's an awesome curtain!
