I've been wearing this toe ring for, no shit, five years without taking it off. it's basically the only piece of jewelry i wear ('less you count the beads in my dreadies). It's become such a part of me, I've literally forgotten it was there or anything.

The last few days we've been moving a bunch of furniture, and working hard all the time, and on top of that my body's doing other weird things (girl problems, don't ask) that add up to me retaining a whole lot of water, and last night when I took off my shoes, my feet were super puffy and sore! my toe past the ring was purple, and I had to take the ring off with pliers and lube! Now I have this big scary indent thing on that toe, and it hurts! I just hope it heals in a few days so I can put the ring back on 0 I don't feel right w/o it!

the first time i ever had a toe ring, i wore it until the silver literally broke in two! & the same situation for me....i had the scary indention left on my toe! now my poor little toe is still deformed!!! of course i just covered it with another toe ring afterwards ;)
btw sis...sorry about your 'girl problems' do you think some dandelion would help with the water retention?

Here's how I feel about toe rings. I don't wear shoes or anything else covering my feet. So why would I want to wrap something around one of my toes? That's almost like a mini-shoe for the toe. And you and hummblebee are living proof that toe rings, just like shoes, can do damage.

That's fine. I don't fault anyone for wearing them, in fact I think they look kinda cool in a way. But, they're just not for me.

Now, ankle bracelets are a different thing. I do wear those, sometimes one on each ankle. You see, they're not actually on my feet, they're on my ankles.
