ohh awesome!!! I just set myself for a email reminder on these shows, I can watch it either tuesday or wednesday, since I have pbs out of topeka and kc.... man, pbs has a bunch of good rock n roll programs anymore....... I saw the grateful dead movie on this station, and it kicked ass!
I just finish watching it. It was good. I liked seeing some of their old footages from concerts. I wish I could get some of them on tape. They did a good job of tracing the groups history from being a Do-op group to Funkadelic/Parliament I thought. They had several artist like Rick James,Ice Cube and Shock G in it talking about P-Funk's influence on them.
I'd like to see more profiles on Sly & The Family Stone like a VH1 Behind the music etc. They were in some ways P-Funk before P-Funk as far as being non-traditional,open,Funky,their costumes and dress etc.
