so the doc is starting me on these meds since the other one didn't help and made me have bad side effects. anyone ever taken them? I'm more concerned about the elavil because it is a inti depression. I am going to be taking them for mirgaines. I'm already on meds for depression

    edit

jen...try to quit taking the meds, ESPECIALLY if that's what you want to do.

anti depressant drugs are pretty shitty at what they are supposed to do. they should be taken as a Last resort. try exercise and eating well, try therapy...but it seems like you are taking too many pills.

i don't know about these 2 new drugs, but talk to your doctor! they him/her that you don't want to be taking so many pills if you don't absolutely have to.

SSRI's are terrible from everything i've heard.

    sorry jen :(

I don't want to have mirgaines the rest of my life :( I will take it tomorrow night and if I get any bad side effects I just won't take it. I know I need to at least give it a shot maybe I won't have side effects. I'm not taking it tonight becuse I have phsical therapy and I have to walk home tomorrow morning and I don't want to be all drugged up walking home

I have never "felt" any of the anti-depressant drugs but you may feel a bit of drowsiness until you get use to them.

too bad you can't get a prescription for psilocin

seriously. a mushroom trip could help you get over your depression (could also potentially make it worse i'm sure)

but the chemicals in psychedelic mushrooms have been studied as tools to treat migraines. i think i've read that it holds off migraines for months with one dose.

Take a list of all the drugs you are on and talk to a pharmacist. I find them to be a better source of info than any GP.

Oh! I didn't recognize the brand names.
He's given you 'trips. It is an antidepressant but it is used more often, these days, for other conditions, like migraines, neuropathy pain and such.

I've never taken them steadily. I scored a bottle of them from my dad who had them for neuropathy pain. He didn't like them because they make you drowsy. Sometimes I take one to fall alseep or 'numb' out. The larger the dose, the more numb and dumbness you fee.

I don't know what type of anti-depressant you're currently on but 'trips will contraindicate for certain types of anti-depressants. But you should definately talk about this with your pharmacist.

I'm not taking that antidepressant anymore. I tried half a pill last night. maybe only 1 night is not giving it a full shot. but I tossed and turn all night crying feeling really bad and depressed :( I feel I keep taking steps back in my metal health with these new meds for my migraines. the relpax seems like I can handle it dose slow my heart rate down little chest pain but nothing this bad
