Yesterday Pat Robertson (700 Club) stated that Haiti was cursed by God because they had made a pact with the devil several hundred years ago to get the French out.

Do you think the earthquake and poverty are the punishment of God?:ack2:

No outrage huh? Then I'll share mine. People like Pat Robertson cause people like me cringe when the word Christian is used. I dumped Christian for Follower of Christ - since racist, homophobs seem to have commandered the word. To say the Haitians weren't capable of running out the French without the help of demons from hell is flat out racist.
Robertson is a plague on the name of Christianity and has been for a long time. Like -- calling for the assasination of Hugo Chavez - I bet Christ would have done that.
I should pray that his eyes are opened but I pray that he will wind up in hell - soon - before he does more damage to worlds image of Christ.

People like Pat Robertson, Rush Limbaugh etc. make comments purposely to inflame and incite people to feed their egos, bring attention to themselves, and increase their incomes. Very few, if any put their money where their mouth is. After 9/11 a lot of patriotic pro war songs came out, but I didn't hear one artist say they would donate all the profits to our troops. To their credit, they did go entertain them but to me that was like touring in support of an album. The days of people like Bob Hope are gone it's all about profiteering now.:piggy:

No, they did not make a pact with Satan. I don't know who he is, but I think that think Pat Robertson is most likely an idiot. There are natural movings and workings underneath and inside of the earths crust. I tend to doubt the the earth "knew" which human civilization that is was destroying.

Pat Robertson is an old tv evangelist who host a long running show called "The 700 Club" on CBN - The Christian Broadcasting Network.

If heaven is the place where people like Pat Robertson are going, I don't want to be there. There is nothing about him or his way of thinking that appeals to me.

i think it should have never been said. its stupid for a christian to say something like that. if god was gonna do things like that humanity would have been wiped out when jesus was nailed to a piece of wood.

In a correctly run world, people like Robertson would have real jobs that would actually benefit humanity. No one would be able to take advantage of and solicit money from frightened people that somehow are convinced that hucksters know more about existance than is possible. The hucksters are absolutely shameless.

But what about the hucksters free will to be so?

You have to admit that a "correctly run world," if there ever can be such a thing, would be excruciatingly boring.

This is Pat Robertson the guy who used his 'evangelical' funds to smuggle diamonds from Zaire during the outbreak of the worst war in 60 years.

Being insulting about a terrible earthquake really isn't the worst thing this guys ever done. Somehow.
