I was just curious about all of you who dress ur lil mamas and papas in patchy/handmade clothes, do they like it?? Do they ever get fussy and think they're stupid?? I know it's easy to make lil mama clothes, but what kinda lil papa clothes do you make?? Post pics of yer kiddies in their patchy clothes!! I think it's soooo adorable! WOOHOO!!
Lets see pics... I love patchy clothes on kids.. I cant wait to have one of my own to make clothes for
I make my son patchy pants. The first pair I made him he hated. I didn't line the first pair and he thought all the seams were itchy. Now that I line the pants he loves handmade pants I will look for some pictures to share.
both my little ones like they're handmade clothes. my daughter loves them the most but I only know this because she is older and she can tell me whereas my son is still to little. i will go and see if i rustle up some pics of them.
I got a shirt out of the drawer for my son the other day. He said, "No, tye dye." I didn't think he knew what tye dye was, but he rummaged through the drawer until he found the shirt he wanted. It was tye dye. He has several pairs of side panel pants. One of them matches mommy's. He also has some shorts that are all over patches. He has never complained about itchy seams. But I have a serger so all the seams are serged. Even when I didn't have a serger, I went over all the seams with a zig zag stitch. I'm going to try to make him some allover patchie pants for the coming (I know it's got to be coming soon) warm weather. I also make apron tops for my granddaughter. I'm gonna make her a strip skirt for her birthday. Kathi
my daughter loves the skirts and apron tops i make her, havent really made my son anything yet, gonna sidepannel lots of his pants soon the cuz they r too small LOL
Yeah, I use pants that are too small and add the sidepanels to them. It extends the wear. I also make clothes that are not patchies. On Saturday I made a pair of long pants with a matching hat. They were red with Dora the Explorer all over them. I don't usually do corporate logos, but he loves Dora. When I saw the fabric I had to get it for him. It's hard to find anything with Dora on it that isn't pink. Kathi
I made this skirt today for my granddaughter. Her birthday is next Sunday. The model is my 2 year old son so it's a little big on him. She's gonna be 6. But you get the idea of what it looks like. I'm still debating about adding a pocket to the front. My husband says it needs a stash pocket inside. But I was thinking of adding a little pocket with a butterfly on it to the front. What do you think? Kathi I edited this to add a close up. You really can't see the detail in the full view picture.
