Went out last friday for hours to walk up a hilly pass, where there is a sort of cark park and viewing point at the top. There is a road up to the top, but it's very narrow and very steep! In a little over eight hours, I only saw one other walker - but several dozen cars. Many of these peeps in cars were rather fat, and although I believe that how people live their lives is up to them, I was just left a little bewildered that nobody actually got out their cars - even right up at the top!
PS - i know this is quite a common thing, perhaps i was more surprised at the absence of other walkers as opposed to the volume of cars
