Is fucking nasty. I was at a house I used to live in, and everyones teeth are yellow. I remember hearing one of my roommates say he never brushes his teeth. I started this thread because i've been single for awhile and he just got a new girlfriend. I also read how much bacteria can literally grow in your mouth from not brushing. If you don't brush everyday fine, at least make it every other day. :ack2::leaving:
I hate that slimy feeling on my teeth after eating something sugary. I brush like 3 times a day with extra-whitening toothpaste.
I brush my teeth at least twice a day. When I go somewhere and eat or whatever I brush my teeth right when I get home. I like to have a clean mouth.
Imagine living a few centuries ago. Makes me think that it's no wonder the few people in higher classes that did brush (I think not nearly all people who had the means to get a good toothbrush had white teeth) loathed those filthy peasants.
My girlfriend is a dental assistant at a hospital and has some really nasty stories of people who dont take care of their teeth:ack2: I look at it like they are the only ones you get so taking good care of them is important, plus its really expensive for implants or dentures when the real ones rot out. Not to mention the smelluke:
A lot of people here seem to lack in the department of dental hygiene. I know a dude who never brushes, his teeth are a brown-green colour and they're crooked. Ugh...
I have to brush my teeth twice a day at the least, i hate the feeling of having unclean teeth, and lordy i dont want no bad breath. my best friend never brushes her's and all her teeth are now rotting, and she only has like 14 teeth left, i told her years ago if she dont clean them she is gonna lose em... she didnt listen to me tho :|
i cant stand the feeling of dirty teeth :ack2: i know a fella that never brushes. and the plaque build up on his teeth is DISGUSTING. uugghhh
I had good oral hygine as a child but as I got older and I have some issues with drugs and alcohol and stopped caring about those things and did some damage to my teeth but I am young and enough and lucky enough to not have done a lot of damage. I brush at least once and day and usally twice. I have a good friend who doesn't brush as well or as much as she should... All I have to say is yuck!
I think some people just think of it as hair, if you shampoo your hair every day, then of course not going a day will make it greasy, but you can just start doing it every other day, and eventually go a while before your hair is actually dirty because you have trained it pretty much. People think "its the same with teeth bla bla bla, people didnt brush there teeth ever before bla bla bla" Anyone want to guess what was one of the top medical problems in ancient civilization, killing kings and peasants alike? Dental problems.
i dont know how people can stand to walk around with that yucky feeling in their mouth. or having bad breath. yuck.
I know, thing is sooo many people don't brush. You can tell when someone doesn't brush. I also Noticed once I quit smoking cigs that my teeth started to gain there natural color back.
I don't understand how people can stand to not to brush their teeth. I can't fall asleep unless I brush my teeth first. If I accidently fall asleep without brushing my teeth I usually end up waking up in the middle of the night to get up and brush them
The way someone's teeth look dosen't bother me as much as the smell that comes from tooth decay/neglect, it can be nauseating :ack2:
I only skip brushing teeth before bed when I come home drunk and sometimes I don't even skip it in those cases
Commercial brand toothpastes are damaging to the bacterial balance of the mouth and to the gums. Eating a living, healthy, microbe-rich diet would make your teeth shiny and glossy without brushing.
I am horrified at the idea of losing my teeth. Not only am I admittedly kind of vain, but I am afraid of needles and tooth pain is some of the worst you can have. Also, tooth infections can go straight to your heart and kill you in a matter of hours. That would be a stupid way to go out. The most I usually go is three days if I'm having a really busy week, but after that I start having nightmares that my teeth are falling out, wake up in a cold sweat and go brush them in the middle of the night. Plus, I hate that filmy nasty uck feeling... I usually avoid things that induce it. It's why I avoid skittles like the plague. I eat one of those damn things and I'm running for my toothbrush. It's just not worth it. I like to find a balance between what you are suggesting and the harsh chemical way. I use a natural fluoride-free one (anise-flavor), and that does the job without the harmful effects.
