Well, Percocet is Oxycodone. I've had it, but I've never snorted it. Oxycontin is another version of it, I believe it's a timed-release form. If you snort that, you defeat the timed-release effect, and get the full effect immediately. A lot of people have become addicted to it, I know that much about it. It's supposedly harder to beat than heroin, or so I've heard. I've had Oxycodone once. I was given it for a couple weeks after surgery. It was cool. I'd pop a couple of them, then drink some beer. Awesome buzz.

PercoCET also contains aCETaminophen (Tylenol), not just oxycodone.

I think it's the acetaminophen. Whether it's percs or whatever...the purest form would be best, not snorting at all would be better. If you must, try swabbing your nostrils with Vitamin E afterwards...some people say that helps.

That's been my biggest concern, actually never thought of the binders but that would be an issue too.

I've been offline for the last week, but that's something I'd like to find out, if any studies have been done on the effects of snorting Tylenol. Acetaminophen is commonly combined in FDA approved drugs to "lessen the predispostion to addiction" by combining a large percentage of a chemical which will destroy your liver with a small percentage of narcotic. Percocet as it turns out, has the most potent opiod (oxycodone) mixed with the least acetaminophen (5mg/325mg) as opposed to Tylenol/Codiene, Darvocet and Vicodin (which contain at least 500mg and up to 750mg of acetaminophen) in their class.

As for snorting pills in general, I've always found more satisfaction in ingesting drugs in pill form than snorting. Although snorting inevitably releases the drug into your bloodstream almost instantly, the high is very short-lived. If I pay $20 for a ticket, I'd rather fly 6 hours at 10,000 feet than 5 minutes a 400,000, but that's personal preference I guess. Regardless how the chemicals are introduced to the body, I'd think the effects would be similar. The added consequences to consider when snorting would be to the nasal cavity, esophagus, airway, and lungs. This said snorting may actually be safer than ingestion, if Tylenol has a way of dissipating itself through inhalation, it could actually be better to snort the drug than swallow it.

Percocet is a wonderful drug, as are Vicodin and Ocycontin. But they are powerful drugs too, more so than marijuana or LSD. Their saving grace is most of the time they are in controlled form. These drugs are the few that come with instruction manuals (being written by the FDA of course, there may need to be an admendment or two). People just need to learn how to use them correctly, for if we don't, we could soon find ourselves buying them from the terrorists too ;)

Acetaminophen is also included for its pain relieving properties.

Tylenol W/Codeine only has 300 mg of acetaminophen per tablet. Some Hydrocodone contain only 325 mg. You can get Darvocet with no acetaminophen (Darvon).

Also, you can get oxycodone with aspirin instead of tylenol...those are called Percodan. I think atleast...
Aspirin can cause stomach troubles though...any way you go,with any pills, you're taking a risk.

First of all, F*** the fda, dea, or whoever came up with that genius idea to load the narcotic pills with acetaminophen. Most drug addicts don't care anyway what they do to their liver - they'll go to any lenghths to get that high. By putting it in there, knowing that it causes damage, is just sadistic bulls*** if you ask me. Second, snorting percs is a horrible idea. For that matter, snorting anything is not a good idea. If you want to get high on percs w/o causing damage, do a c-w extraction, although i heard from a member of this forum that it doesn't work.

Oh ya, just to support my first note, i know a recovering addict who used to take full handfulls of hydrocodone acetaminophen pills (5/660 i think). When i asked him what constituted a handful, he told me it was around 15 of them! And he did that more than once! I know this sounds like bulls***, but he's doing really well now in his 12-step program so he's not doing anything anymore. He actually got his liver checked out and yes, there was damage but he did that like 10-20 times but the damage wasn't too horrible. But maybe it's because he's 250 lbs!
