If you want to buy some shampoo for your dreads and dr. bronners just ain't working for your hairs, and you are too lazy to make your own, I highly recommend checking out Wild Indigo's Zum bars. They are magic for dreads. I use two; I use the sea salt one and another one that I enjoy the scent of. Patchouli-orange is good, rosemary mint helps itchies, clove smells like heaven. I basically shampoo my head with one bar, then shampoo with another without rinsing in between. That way you get awesome smelling dreads, and the benefits of sea salt.

It's like the ocean in a barsoap. And it's all natural without SLS or anything.

And, I don't work for them or nothing I swear. hehe. I just love them.

here's a link to check them out http://www.indigowild.com/shopping/natural-zum-bar-goats-milk-soap.cfm

Yeah they are a bit expensive, but it's very good soap and it has worked for me better than anything, including bronners (which is also not cheap!). It's not cheap like baking soda is, but that isn't for everyone. I do make my own shampoo, and I also use baking soda quite a bit. I mix it up, so everything lasts a very long time for me, so overall it's not very expensive.

I also buy it from other sites than the main one, because there are places to get it for 4.00 or so on sale. And whole foods carries it, or used to. As did a local health food store. So, I usually just got it here.

I realize not everyone wants to pay that much though. That's chill.

aww that sucks. :( maybe you can find a retailer for it. like I said, whole foods used to carry it. I'm not sure if you guys have those there, but a health food store could possibly order it.

I am bored at work, hence the quick replies. haha

It looks great. Made with goat milk, that means it's going to leave the scalp happy :]
I don't mind splurging on nessarsary things. Today I spent 10 bucks on a teeny bit of tee tree oil for my ear piercings (It's misbehaving) and 12 bucks on One-a-Day vitamins. Some people think that's too much but sometimes you gotta spoil your body, ya know? Lol, some people don't mind dropping a hundred bucks to buy guitar hero stuff but when it comes to hair/skin care they don't want to pay extra. It's funny.

So, does this Indigo Wild Sea Salt help your hair knot faster than Bronner's? I've pretty much had it with Dr. B's and the way it makes my scalp oily and leaves a waxiness behind (even after adding stuff to it neutralize it). Man..just noticed...they want $8.75 just to ship one bar? what the hell?

    $8.75? ...The fuck???
At least Dr. B's has free shipping.
That's sad, I was planning on ordering that but if shipping costs more than the bar itself than forget about it. >:[

It works better for me than bronners. Bronners works great if I infuse it with other herbs (I infuse it with rosemary, nettle, comfrey, with walnut hulls, and then add tangerine and nutmeg essential oils). Otherwise Bronners leaves my hair an oily mess with gray residue inside.
