you should check out the episode of bullshit that pen and teller did on them
exposed them as corrupt hypocrites

 

I think that PETA gets a little caried away in some areas. But they are going in the right direction and most f the ones I have met have been OK

I admire PETA for their ferver and intesity with which they want to help save animals, but their campaigns usually just make them look like stupid wackos. The idea is nice, the execution is horrible.

 

its hard not to become corrupt in a world that is beyond corrupt, know what i mean? its inevitable some darkness rubs off on you from time to time, you just have to realize when thats happening and i think they have problems with that sometimes... trying to fight a beast as a beast, but thats not the most effective way to work even though it really seems that way. its human nature, they think thats the best way to fight and they become too extreme.,, and they forget humans are animals too sometimes it seems...
but they mean well and still do sooo many wonderful things despite all the not so productive things they find themselves swimming upstream against. if it wasnt for them, i and countless others probably wouldnt have a clue about some of the not so pleasent realities that are going down on this earth, and we wouldnt be fighting them the way they deserve to be fought.

 

i have a PeTA shirt that i wear when i go hunting. because i AM for the ethical treatment of animals. i'm a very ethical hunter.

 

They're aginst any form of animal testing. That would halt any sort of medical advancement we could ever hope to achieve, You can either like AIDS or like animal research, and I'm not dumbing it down.

I'm all for animal rights, but I don't consider PETA to be that relevant to the animal rights movement, and I consider animal rights to be a back kettle issue when there are millions of people on the planet who are slaves.

Once we get rid of slavery and disease, then we should stop animal testing, Til then, I could care less about PETA.

I was watching A Marx Brothers movie called Duck Soup the other day, and noticed during the beginning credits it shows four ducks obviously in a pot of water with the fire turned UP on the stove. That shit wouldn't fly nowadays, and it shouldn't.

Anyone seen the ads on animal planet asking for donations for teh animals affected by Katrina? I love animals, but i think its incredibley asinine to be donating money to animals when there are so many people in need as well. Im not saying humans are more important than other animals, but its not like the animals realize their whole livlihoods are destroyed.

 

i declare here and now that i personally consider the immediate welfare of human beings to be more important than that of animals. in the long run, proper treatment of wild animals and their environment is also good for human welfare, therefore i'm for it. plus, animals are kinda neato. but i'm not sending a dime for the pets, unless it's to clean up their carcasses, which is a practical consideration.

 

I Agree... not to say i dislike animals or support cruelty towards them.
