Do you own a pet? I've been thinking about getting a couple of Birman Blue Point kittens (male/female). I'm wondering if I should because I'll have to get them litter trained and clean their litter twice a day.. I'll also have problems if I want to go on holiday etc. They will be indoor cats so I'll have to made sure that they can't escape through a window etc. What pet/s do you own? Post a piccy if you have one
i have a cat and a dog at home, and in my college home i have a little kitten with my roommate. you should definetly get some kittens, you will love them. when me and my roommate got our kitten he was SO easy to litter train, and they're pretty easy to take care of and keep content.
I'd like to get a dog. Husky. But my apartments too small, and I might move in a year or so. Breaks my heart.
Yeah I actually owned two Birmans when I was married. They were amazing pets. Unfortunately they had the cat flu which the unscrupulous 'breeder' managed to hide from us. I'm not even going to tell you what we paid for them... I may go ahead in 2008 and get another pair from a more reputable breeder.
In my family we're partial to cats. But dogs are great too. These are the boys: __*Fessor* (the king and the sweety, also known as Fessy, Gooey, Fessoir, Gooby, Gooberhead, Goofus, or sometimes Gobbledygoo) *Lexi* and *Cobra*, also known as Lexiebear or Lexicon and The Cobe, Coby or Cobes. We made some sweet cats. We love them. You should def get a pet.
Thanks! Everybody says that. You know, we found Lexi so we're not exactly sure what breed he is, but mom did some studying and he is supposed to be part blue point. He's a great little guy.
I have a cat, a rat, and a snake. But we have another cat in the house, and a dog. But they aren't mine. :] Here a picture of my kitty! And my rat is in my sig. My snake is kinda new.
A pair of young cats followed me home one night from a parking lot. They were not quite fully grown and obviously hungry, and bleeding hearts of the world unite it was cold and raining to boot. So silly arsed me invites them in and feeds them and sends them on their way. They came back. Every night. Now they live here. I tried to give them away but there were no takers for so long that I fell in love with the little furballs so they're staying. All I have on the 'puter are the holiday photos I took of them so 'scuze the hats and facial expressions indicating how they feel about the hats. The boy: The girl: I would suggest maybe taking in a stray or looking into your local shelters before buying a cat(s), just because there are so many of them that no one wants and they're so sweet and sad...but you know, to each his own.
I have two dachshunds aka "weiner dogs" They are great for snuggling and lots of fun but yeah when you want to be spontanious ie . go for drinks after work... you'll be tied down so seriously consider the type of pets you get. Cats though are much more independant. Of course. and two parrot fish who are smarter than the dogs I swear.
Awwww weiner dogs! I kind of want a dog just so I can walk him and take him to the park, but yea lots of responsibility so I don't think so. Too flaky. They just had a thing on the news about how the shelters are overcrowding fast due to "returned Christmas gifts". They said it started Friday after the novelty of the new puppy or kitten wore off. :bigcry: I'm so pathetic when I see them in their cages that I have to think about crazy old cat ladies to keep from taking another one in. My dad at one point had 3 dogs and 7 cats, 8 of the animals were taken in out of pity. Small house...more of a zoo really.
