Has anyone felt amplified pheremone detection while on the stuff? I have!!! Like the whole world enters through my nose and dick, and it is disgusting to be around an animal.... and if I am in a room w/ a piece of dog shit, I feel it's presence on my dick and nose, and feels like I just had sex with a dog!
Ive got news for you buddy....We are all animals...I dont know if thats news to a person who has done acid or has even smoked pot...But yea, its all bullshit
Indeed we evolved from animals. But when you die, a dog would eat you and have sex with your dead body.... A human being wouldn't. Plus we're a heck of a lot smarter. That being the reason why we domesticate other animals and have the place at the top of the food chain. But yes, a lot of our brain is the same.
Can't say I've ever experienced anything like that My sex drive is pretty much absent when I'm on lsd
I love the visceral visualization of pheromones, and pollen too for that matter. Being able to actually see the transit of microscopic energy commuting amongst the plants and animals. it's too beautiful, beautiful
You have interesting views on the differentiation between 'animals' and 'humans'. I think a lot of what you consider 'human' behaviour is really 'human societal' behaviour. Your corpse would be delicious dave.
I need some clarification, exactly which definition of 'animal' are you all using which does not include homo sapiens?
Gandhi taught passive submission and is seen by many as a "spiritually evolved". Passive submission for animals means suppertime!
We have animal bodies... but I think there is something about us that seperates us. Not that we're a "higher" incarnation in an intrinsic value sense, but that we have more freedom than any other life form on the planet. Animals are the way they are because they can't be anything else. And they're enough as they are. If they become less than enough as their environment changes, they will adjust to it, but until that happens, they are complete. We are something that is becoming something, and we're aware of that, intentionally moving the process along... We control our own evolution. We are not perfect. We have the option to choose to evolve or not, and if so, in what direction. The rest of the earth's ecosystem just tries to maintain. We are this strange thing that stirs up the pot on purpose and can force everything else to adjust. And we do it for reasons that no other living entity has...
and that stirring of the pot is heading us straight for a return to a very 'animal' life, thanks to 'primitive forces that have less freedom than us' (destruction of the planet) keep tracing the feedback loop. it's only progressive for homo sapiens until a point, and then it begins to turn around and head right back the other way where it started. our great civilizations and technologies are no better and no more special or unique than ape clans with their sticks and stones.
It's a two steps forward one step back kind of thing. No one knows what we're heading straight for, because we change directions all the time, and we are not one homogenous force. It's like a forest that periodically has to burn down, so that the next growth can be richer than the last. We always swing back, but we never swing back as far as we did the last time we swung back. I agree that what is new is not better than what is old. And I'll agree that it's not more special or unique, either. But it is more complex. It's not like we're trying to evolve so that we can become better than what we were, or make the old obsolete. We're just becoming more diverse. It's just what's happening. And it isn't like we invented the thing. But we have the power to have some control over it and make it happen much faster than it happens in the rest of reality. We can actually see it happening in our lifetimes and feel it's effect. It isn't unnatural. It's just a quality unique to us as a species.
If we were any smarter or more free than we wouldn't fight over the things we want to do, we would just do them, but many fear retribution and failure, we can't kill or else we spend life in prison or are put to death, we can't all agree to do anything therefor we are alone and in a fight that like you say, gets us nowhere fast. If we were truly civilized and evolving at a steady pace I wouldn't be wondering why the fuck we are at war with anyone at all seeing as there is no real benefit at all to it. I wouldn't have to hear ignorant people saying war is necessary but have no valid reason why that is. I wouldn't need money to live. I wouldn't have visions of cancer and disease wiping us out, countries torn asunder, but then again maybe death is evolution. Then again fuck it.
Yea I wish I was still at that level. But I was forced back up to "societal" level because I have to reproduce. And I can't be thinking.... "hey Kristen, I want to eat your whole family" Haha.
True. But you can take measures to avoid the angry pack that roams the Earth. Such as... buy 1.25 acres, build a fence. Have a gate with a lock.
