First of all, I don't believe in any of this This is just some stuff that I have thought up, sort of confusing Plz don't be offended by any of this or get mad, tell me what you think Also, I know that the bible disproves some of this, like I said, they are just thoughts. God And Jesus God created us to just live, but humanity's number one weakness is that we need to find reason to exist, things can't just be the way they are and that's that, so we create different types of religion scewing ourselves over and worshipping gods that we made up. Taking that into consideration, (This sounds messed.) Jesus Christ could be the antichrist, maybe not in his past life on earth, but when he comes back. NOW, taking that into consideration, GOD, who created us and who would be envisioned as a kind and loving god could be Satan as well. So at first when god created us he was the God we all know as GOD, but he turns into Satan to us because of his disgust with the human race. OR, maybe it's like a split personality thing, so he's like both people at the same time. Heaven And Hell HEAVEN AND HELL EXIST ON THE INSIDE OF THE SUN Yea, I know you're like wtfff When we die, our souls (Composed of conscious energy) emerge and we ascend to live in the sun where all the other good souls (and God and Jesus) exist. (This would also explain the supposed "Light at the end of the tunnel" people claim to see before they die.) You communicate with other souls through "telepathy", and the sun itself (Which is also energy) is like a giant consciousness with answers to everything and you and every other soul are "connected". (That is for the lucky people that make it to "Heaven.") Now for the people that go to hell, in other words didn't believe in a god or didn't quite make it into heaven... They exist in the sun as well, but not in their spiritual form, they are there still in their PHYSICAL form, still able to feel pain. Why are they in their physical form? Because that's probably all they ever believed in, the physical world. That sucksss... The sun is also an all seeing eye. The sun also is responsible for all life on earth in scientific terms, because without the heat and light given by the sun, no life would exist here. So maybe the sun itself is god as well. The Universe Annnndd my last thought... Perhaps the entire universe is one giant consciousness, conscious of itself and everything in it and it can create things inside itself at will and the universe itself is God Schtick Dat' In Yo Pipe And Schmoke Ittt Hell, I bet I could make my own religion with some of this and take over the world, but it would probably be wrong and then I'd make everyone believe in it and then I would technically be the antichrist...hell yea, I'm doin' it! lol :reddevil: Here's somthing else I just thought up... Jesus said he was the son of god, but aren't we ALL sons of god? So he was just making a statement and we're to dumb to realize that we are all sons of god and we kill him. That could also fit in with him being the antichrist because we created an image of him and worship him for being the son of god when all of us are in fact the son of god.
1st off the bible proves and disproves nothing since its just a myth and theory like yours but ya did come close to understanding here...commendable ofcourse theres a lotta stretching of coinventional theories applying thought and rejecting bli8nd faith keep going your approaching understanding butclinging to inapopriate language throw out the christian concepts heaven hell god satan and antichrist then rethink the theory the universe is "god" conceisness rejoins a collective conceisness throughout all that is heavenm and hell well we are our concesness we go on as our memories,,our conceisness we are our own heaven or hell we live good lives we go on as memories of goodness we live cruelty or evil if u will we go oin as the memory of all we did our hewaven or hell is created by our actions and memmories and are completely appropraite reward or punishment fot how we chose to live
Consciousness exists (otherwise, who am I talking to?). Even if, in comparison to the whole universe, it is only one infinitessimally small point of consciousness, it is enough to say consciousness exists. Now, every reasonable scientific explanation for this phenomenon may be true, but there is primal significance in the simple fact that matter is capable of becoming conscious. The fact that consciousness exists in this universe means, in one way or another, the universe IS conscious. Peace and Love
but not all matter is conscious. So why do you say that the universe is conscious. In addition, it has yet to be unearthed why and how we achieve our consciousness.
There's a theory, pan-psychism, that holds that all matter is conscious. Pan-experientialism, notably championed by the distinguished philosopher-mathematician Alfred North Whitehead, is a weaker variation, which says all entities have phenomenal consciousness or proto-consciousness, but not cognition or fully-fledged minds. It's kind of like electricity that is concentrated by electic eels to deliver a major jolt, but needs special biological equipment (brains or cerebral cortex)to give it that expression. The equipment may come from evolution. All speculative.
That's some theory. So a grains of sand have consiousness? funny. I always thought they were universes.
No. They just have proto-consciousness. They aren't aware of their phenomenal consciousness. Electrons have the potential to be harnassed by electric eels and us and certain natural phenomena like lightning, but otherwise have no detectable jolt.
Im not following this. How can you not be aware of your consciousness if you are conscious? Also, the electrons being harnassed seems to be just that. Non-living material being harnassed by a living being for it's purpose. I dont think I get it.
Proto-consciousness or phenomenal consciousness is preconsciousness--the potential for subjective experience. If activated and properly channeled, it has the potential to become conscious. The concept addresses what Chalmers calls "the hard problem": How can matter (neurons) generate the subjective awareness of an internal life we know as consciousness? Does this suddenly occur, and only in humans? We don't know, and it would be very hard to test scientifically. But it is plausible to think that chimps, dogs, cats and other living things have some form of internal life. At some point, consciousness may cease to exist, but from an evolutionary standpoint, it is easier to explain as a mobilization of a pre-existing related potential that already inheres in inanimate material.
that sounds like a lot of bullshit to me. scientist fumbling over something they can't understand, so they throw out mumbo jumbo that isn't much more sound than voodoo. but hey it's science so that makes it right.
Your question implies a belief that the universe must adhere to some rule in order to be conscious. True or not, it is, on its own terms, a truly fascinating idea. A conscious universe would be a "Universal Consciousness" but not necessarily a uniform consciousness. It doesn't have to be uniform in order to exist. Your own consciousness is not uniform. Despite the fact that your hair and nails are probably not processing anywhere near as much information about reality as your brain, you are conscious. Should we deny the existence of your consciousness because your toenails don't appear to "think." Fair enough. But existence (of anything) is not dependent upon human understanding. There are equally significant mysteries about the whys and hows of gravity, time, creativity, and so on. Do these things fail to exist simply because we know of no complete explanation for them? I don't know how to believe that. I don't have a complete explanation for Consciousness. As far as I know, no one does. But I do know Consciousness exists in this Universe, and this Consciousness may be argued to have the same relationship to this Universe that "You" have to your body, regardless of what, or if, your hair "thinks." Peace and Love
It isn't science, because I don't know of any way to test it. It's speculation, but I don't think it's implausible. However, I still don't have compunctions about mowing my lawn for fear of inflicting pain on the grass, nor do I talk to my plants. If it doesn't have a cerebral cortex, I don't have empathy for it.
usually when someone says "universe", they mean everything in it. Sorry I misunderstood you. So your saying that there is a Universal Consciousness, but it is not uniform. That means only selective things are included in whatever this universal consciousness is. What description can you offer of your thoughts on it, and why you think this way?
