I didn't pick up my last paycheck from my first job until like 4 months later. I quit over the phone so I was scared to go back. My coworker just handed me my check and didn't say a word to me. awkward.

 

i've never done it, but i would probably wait until i know for sure that it is there, and then go in when there is an underling running the show instead of the general manager, or whatever the boss of an eyeglass lab is titled.

 

you're lucky the check was still there...

 

I can handle most of the shit that can possibly happen, it's just an etiquette thing.

and legally they are required to get me my check, but they have a history of not.

called to make sure it was there. I went in and my former boss tried to get me to call someone, i refused. He asked why i left so suddenly in the middle of the day. I grabbed the check and left.

 

my plan was to get it tomorrow.

 

Go in during lunch or when not too many people will be around if that's what you want.

Otherwise go in when you know people will be around and chill for a few minutes.
