What's everyone's favourite album buy the Floyd and if you have more than one then please put it down.

Mine would hve to be 'Meddle' or 'The Wall'
Big time jump, I know but they're both really good. I like all the albums I have by them I just dont want to waste anyone's time.

My favourite Floyd album is 'Animals' - absolutely no doubt about it. Althought they're one of my favourite bands they have some albums which I never listen to, 'Meddle' actually being one of them. 'Meddle' is probably my fave of the less good albums, thanks to 'One of These Days' and 'Echoes' - but two great songs don't make a great album if you ask me.

'More' and 'Obscurred By Clouds' are two others I just can't get away with. And let's not even speak of what Dave Gilmour did to the group after Roger Waters left...'Momentary Lapse of Reason' and 'The Division Bell' - what was he thinking?

But saying all that, there's still plenty brilliant albums in their discography, 'Piper at the Gates of Dawn' is awesome and 'Saucerful of Secrets' is not without it's charms. 'Ummagumma', 'Wish You Were Here' and 'Dark Side of the Moon' all kick a fair amount of ass. And 'The Final Cut' is excellent work.

But aye, the top three for me, 'Animals', 'Atom Heart Mother' and 'The Wall'.

The film 'The Wall' is marvellous too I think.

Ohhhhh that dvd is soooooo good!

I love my dad, he's responsible for me having Pink Floyd built into my brain. I swear there's a Floyd gland or something in there :)

Right now I'm hooked on Wish You Were Here, Atom Heart Mother and Pulse (that's a cheat, I know, but still!)

    Yaaaaay!

Piper at the Gates of Dawn is my favourite album... favourite song is probably "candy & a currant bun". their post-syd stuff just doesnt compare to his work, imo.

My favourite album would have to be meddle or the piper at the gates of dawn. I dont see why everyone likes the wall so much, it's so cheesey, even more cheesey than the dark side of the moon.

I don't think it's cheesy at all, I love the instrumentals. Having said that, is it Division Bell or Wish You Were Here that has a fair bit of sax on it? That grates on me a tiny bit, I don't think it fits. That's just me though *is a complete ignoramus*...

"i've got a bike you can ride it if you like it's got a bell and all sorts of things to make it look good, i'd lend it to you if i could, but i borrowed it." (most probably misquoted, i apologise!)

i love meddle so much, Echoes is my favourite Floyd track...
I think the Wall is a fantastic album, one of the best - and the film is just incredible.
Dark side of the moon is a good album... but it isn't a good pink floyd album...

Agree about the film of The Wall too, watched it again quite recently whilst ridiculously high and it was excellent.

Almost. It's actually 'I've got a bike you can ride it if you like it's got a basket a bell that rings and things to make it look good. I'd give it to you if I could but I borrowed it'.

Fantastic track, on a fantastic album (Piper At The Gates Of Dawn). That and 'Saucerful Of Secrets' are my fave Floyd albums. I found 'Meddle' and 'Ummagumma' to be quite dull in general, and I think 'Dark Side Of The Moon' is good but I prefer the band's earlier, more surreal works.
