Has anyone else checked this out? This show is so freaking incredible.. to me its like a stoners dream. Pretty much the entire show my mouth just drops in awe.. constantly repeating 'holy shit'. If you havnt checked it out yet, make sure you see it in HD, IMO its not even worth seeing without HD. Turn out the lights and get some munchy foods and prepare to be dazzled..
hahahaha dude i got it on external hd hooked to my HD tv, that show fucking kicks ass, i watched shallow seas and rainforests high, its fucking so beatiful and calming - its crazy. recommend to all who are high at nighttimes
OH MY GOD!!! Absolutely amazing...stoned, sober, whatever its amazing!! My favorite is the jungle!!! So many great things! The mating dances of the birds, the fungi that takes over hundreds of species of insects, ahh my mind is blown every time!!
The Caves episode is my all time favorite nature documentary to watch high. And yeah Cordyceps are the commando insect dominating fungus if there ever was one.
dude i just have to explain this, but hear me out and tell me if this ever came up. Ok you know how back in the day people with mental disabilities were shunned, and kept secret. Then there were the Salem Witch trials, when people were killed for being associated with magic, and then there is the ever pressing question of possession... ok everytime I see this i contemplate it: so the ants starts to act abnormally, and the rest of the ants notice, this ant is kicked out of the colony. The ants recognize this, and thank god because the others would be in danger when the spores eventually popped. They know there is something wrong with it, I mean it walks up trees, pretty much toward death. And then the ant/insect dies and is taken over by these intense fungi. Honestly the fungi all look demonic. Do you ever wonder if the insects have seen their fellow insects after they've been 'taken over,' I don't know it always makes me think. Do ants, well I'm not asking if the ants have religion (or maybe I am), but do you think they have the feeling that the ant is possessed? I don't know, I think about this every time...has anyone else?
Try getting as many TVs as you can into one room, play a different segment of Planet Earth on each, turn off the lights, and play a more ambient oriented Eno album. Life almost seems perfect.
I love planet earth. My brother bought it for me in HD for my last birthday. Then my mom bought like a 52" LCD. Its pretty kick-ass. The best is the snow leopard hunting.
I was thinking of making this thread but never got round to it. Planet earth is by far my favourite television series, I cant get enough of it, and David Attenborough's voice is sooo perfect lol
David Attenborough, who narrates the series, has done may other awesome nature programs if you liked planet earth. i think this is the only one in HD, but imo the others are worth downloading... some of them include: Life in Cold Blood, The Blue Planet, The Life of Mammals, The Private Life of Plants, Life in the Undergrowth, The life of Birds, The Living Planet, The Trials of Life...
