The thing is that most Vegan's don't know that some of the specific Protein Supplements they take to offset lack of such Proteins in Plant Foods are derived from ANIMALS. Some Proteins and Nutrients only found in Animal Flesh cannot be synthesized thus when Vegan's go to a GNC store they don't realize what they are buying as supplements are derived from Animal Flesh and Bone. Human's did not evolve as strictly Herbivores. TooReal

I really don't care very much. I'll leave it to the vegans to discuss that. It's not my thing but I know a number of them who are in great shape and are more qualified than I am to debate it.
Well...you need to increase your protein intake and I would suggest swimming as a way to increase your upper body strength. I am 6 foot 2 inches and 238 lbs...all muscle. Too much Isolation Lifts is not good for total body flexibility and core development. This is why I only use free weights and I run daily as well I incorporate swimming 1 mile 3 times a week. I eat a LOT of food....minimum 5000 calories a day...mostly protein....lots of vegetables....2 pieces of fruit....and BUTTER on Sea Food...NEVER MARGARINE!!! But your on the right track. TooReal
And I'm not any more convinced by the paleo diet than I am by the vegan diet. I'm not saying it doesn't work but people should understand the obvious limitations and complications in comparison to what they are trying to replicate.
The issues Vegans tend to have and there are countless studies that show Vegans are on average 45% weaker than average....36% less dense bone structure....have a much harder time concentrating and processing information....and have 12 Times greater the level of organ failure and autoimmune issues. Well...as much as I am not a vegan and don't support their "in your face" style...I happen to work out with numerous vegans who pretty much hang with the rest of us "fighter" types and a couple of them have MMA titles. They have titles. They can roll. I can't take anything away from them for that. I respect that.
I understand....but for them to have this strength...they must take supplements that come from ANIMAL FLESH AND BONE. Whether a person takes a pill or eats a steak...they still are not true Vegan's. TooReal

One other thing....running every day....I run 6 miles one day and 11 miles the next and I run at least 2 to 3 20 Km's a month along with the swimming means my body is buring calories 24/7 just to repair itself and repair my musculature. If I don't eat at least 5000 calories a day I start to lose weight...lose MUSCLE WEIGHT....so once you start doing this even if you are not hungry you have to FORCE YOURSELF TO EAT!! I always have 2 to 3 doz boiled eggs ready to eat and I always have a large ham, a beef roast and a turkey cooked and in the fridge. My two very pretty neighbors help me with this. TooReal
As long as they take the supplements supplied by Animal bone and flesh...and nutrients such as B12, Creatine, D3, Carnosine and Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA)....they should be OK....as these come from Animals. But if you were to take a Vegan who was my height and weight and compare strength, speed, health...etc....there is no comparison. I have not had so much as a COLD in over 20 years. TooReal
