two of my plants r sick. the one wtih the necrotic patches i thought had a potash def. do to calcium locking up wtih it. so i flushed the soil and added new nutes. plant still seems to b getting more patches on leaves that had them. but no new ones so far. second plant i thought was a mg. def. becuz the leaf edges r turning up. i used some epsom salt and it was lookin better yesterday but today its back to curling.

    what is wrong wtih them.

do water filters for taps change the ph level. eg. pur. if not wut can i use to keep ph at desired level.

You can buy ph up or down, and its recommended to let water sit for 24-48 hrs as to allow alot of the chemicals added to like chlorine to disipate into the air.

Looks like a classic case of nute burn.
THROUGHLY flush the soil. Use a volume of water equal to 3 x the volume of the container.
Wait several days, and restart w/reduced nutes.

In your post you described your problem and asked "what is wrong with them?"
    I told you my opinion.
If you don't want to read my posts, if you want to reject the opinions of experienced growers you are certainly able to do so.
But DON'T tell me what to do on this site.
Looking at your plants, I see you are an inept grower.

I doubt if I'll answer any more of your Q's in any event.
Because now, I WANT you to fail; it may teach you a lesson.

ull enjoy life more if u stop being such a dick, and not put ur two cents in on everyones post.

RktDude...first of all, I don't think the "curling" is due to mg defficiency. Mg defficiency tends to make the leaves canoe or fold, like they are praying, and will show interveinal chlorosis. Yours appear to be curling on the edges too much and appears to be pretty bright green.

Water filters can be infamous for causing salts buildup/lock out problems. "IF" it is that type filtering system. One that filters the entire system, not the little tap filters.

I found vinegar to adjust the ph, only lasts temporarily. What are your ph levels, btw?

Ranger isn't an idiot. He is actually pretty knowledgable. But simply put, he believes his way, is the way, and doesn't seem to accept contradiction too well.

GOD i respect ur opinions, but rangerdanger did not read my post. he simply looked at pictures and posted. if he would have read he would have known i already tried flushing the soil. as for the plant which i thought was mg def. isnt doin anything cept growing bigger and better.
about the soil ph....i have a soil test kit but it sux.....doesnt give an exact figure.
i think that water here contains flouride along wtih a bunch of other hard chemicals.
any ideas for water?.....i bought some drinking water from the store to use for the time being.

    i love u ranger u make my days so memorable : )

Rocketdude maybe this might help to control your Ph. to make your soil less acidic/more alkaline apply 300g/m2 of ground limestone for every 1Ph required.
To make it more acidic/less alkaline apply 70g/m2 of sulphate of ammonia.
You'll get these at any local garden store.
    Hope this helps you.

horticultural lime mixed in the soil will also keep your ph in check, AND provides mg.
