I have been drinking a lot of port lately. It's really sweet and basically a dessert wine, but it's also very strong and will get you fucked up quickly. I have heard people say that ports give some of the worst hangovers, but so far I haven't suffered any ill effects... or at least not any worse than usual. Anyone else like port, or know of any good ports to try?
I haven't had port wine since I lived in Santo Domingo, but there was one with sort of a Spanish name that was good. I don't think it was actually Spanish though...Alfonso? Fonseca? Something like that.

Fonseca!! Yes! That is the one I have been drinking. It's the best one I've had so far. I think the one I have been getting is called Fonseca Bin 21 or something like that. I am typing this on my phone from work. I hate typing on my phone.
Ever try drinking a lot of port in one evening and you'll get a headache like someone stamped on your head. I know I did. Really old ports can have a delicious taste, incredibly smooth. Port was a big drink for British navy officers.
When I had weekends off I'd have Deink some port. But it does give me bad headaches. I never hydrate.

I am a fan of port. I don't drink it too much, though. My boyfriend loooves it! He always gets Cockburn's (hehe) Port. It takes pretty good.
