Ok, so, recently, a person I know, i'm not going to bring any names up, apparently the cops found LSD in his possession, oh, but here's the kicker, he's not being charged with "Possession of illegal drugs" or anything, he's being charged with manslaughter??? Are you kidding me?? This guy didn't even kill anyone, he just had possession of an illegal substance.
yeah man thats what ive heard, ive never heard of it actually happening though, with paper tabs its pretty hard for cops to find
ive heard this BS before but as far as i know this is a urban legend. i know several people who have been convicted of trafficking LSD and none of them have been charged with manslaughter. i think your "friend" is lying to you..lol
Almost positive it is a myth. I think the reason the myth started is because people would ask who would be accountable if someone was tripping and killed someone in their trip. Obviously it would be the person who did the killing... But does the person that gave him the means to be in the crazy state owe any responsibility to the situation?
compare the punishment for manslaughter to the punishment for trafficking LSD. in most states as well as the federal level,i would much prefer to be charged with manslaughter. would save a few(to a bunch ) years of hard time..
This doesn't sound realistic, but I put nothing past the legal system. In these parts more than one person has gone down for MURDER for supplying drugs to someone who eventually died of overdose, but that's related to prescription drugs, and someone actually died... But these bozos always want to lump all drugs into one category. My advice to your friend is to plead not guilty and don't take any plea bargain. It's probably years in the system then, if his nerves can take it, but ultimately the odds are pretty good that once it goes to trial the evidence will be missing or the case will fall apart...
