I hate to sound like a complete dumbass, but, is there a Grateful Dead lyric that goes " fade away, Titantic, fade away " ? If so, which song ?

    Try "Not Fade Away"

I wanna tell you how it's gonna be, you're gonna give your love to me,
I wanna love you night and day, you know my love not fade away.

You know my love not fade away, not fade away!

My love is bigger than a Cadillac, I try to show you but you drive me back,
Your love for me has got to be real, your gonna know just how I feel.

Our love is real, not fade away, not fade away!

which is actually by Charles Hardin and Norman Petty, "Charles Hardin" being Buddy Holly, whose real name was Charles Hardin Holley.

Good call; that's a tune that's been covered a billion times; and the lyrics really don't sound like a Garcia/Hunter composition, eh?

yeah, it's more suggestive in the John Barlow mold.
