So I have this small glass ball, to put it into perspective, it sits comfortably on the cirlce made when putting your index finger and thumb together, anyway.. Yesterday was a beautiful spring day, 28 degrees (or 82 for you Americans), not a cloud in the sky, so we decided it'd be good to smoke up in the big backyard. So we hop on the trampoline, set up the shit, and begin smoking.. I had also brought out the glass ball, as a few weeks back we discovered it magnifies things epically, and thought we could look at the beauty of fractals in nature with clearer detail than ever before.. and to our discovery, the glass ball focuses the suns rays with extreme precision; so much so that one can physically see a beam of focused light coming from the other end. This was, of course, a great discovery to us, as anything new MUST be explored and used to its full potential. So we began writing our names in my rake, accidentally burning ourselves.. then it dawned to me.. something amazing, why not try smoking a cone with this new found toy? And so we did.. it took some time to get the hang of it, but it works like a charm.. not only do I feel like it gets me higher, but it is definitely smoother as I did not get that irritating itch at the back of my throat (note that I only smoke green, and never mix), so smooth infact that it was like breathing, however I believe this may be as I wasn't getting so much of the cone in one hit, as alas you can not rip it well with this method of lighting, but in saying that, the amount of smoke I was getting seemed to be atleast double of that if I was lighting with a conventional lighter.. So my question is, have any of you guys discovered this before? And if so, how did you find it? Thought I might share my discovery, I think you guys should give it a go!:sunny:
A good friend of mine is in california at the moment, i was talking to him the otherday and he was telling me about lighting his bowl in the mountains with a magnifine glass. That it was pretty badass!
i tried it once with a magnifying glass, but it didn't work too well. i live in NY state though, so the sun's rays aren't the strongest here
Me and my friends do it every summer, we smoke bowls with a magnifying glass. We call them solar bowls. It's a billion times more powerful than a lighter, the entire bowl smolders and smokes furiously quite quickly and you have to smoke it fast. It tastes ridiculously clean. Since it's such a special way to smoke and since it tastes so amazing we usually help that out by using a new pipe/bubbler for the ocassion. We usually save this super special time for a psychedelic trip. If you've never tasted smoking cannabis out of a brand new bubbler/bong cooled by ice/water lit by the sun's rays . . . you have not tasted cannabis Writing stuff with the sun's rays is very fun, so is drawing pictures
