Pre-Disposition. 9-12months probation + more

State: Indiana
Crime: Pocession of Marijuana (under 30 grams), Incorigibility.
Current Record: This is my 1st offense.

Background Story: So sometime in October I got caught w/ 4 seeds of Marijuana. My parents found out I had been smoking a week before and I clearly stated I wouldnt quit and gave them literally pages of facts to back me up but you know... religious parents. Anywho they call the cops and get them to search my room. I personally thought my room was clean but apparently I had "4 seeds in a baggy inside one of my converse". Few weeks after this incident my parents complain and say I am "disobeying them" and not respecting them which I felt was hard to do at the time since well... they fuckin ratted me out. So one friday morning I have a cop up my ass saying that I am being charged for being "incorigible" and then that Sunday I got a notice in the mail about how I was "Declared a Deliquent" and I had to appear in court sometime in dec.

Pre-Disposition: Well Now all these months later I have reached the "pre-disposition" stage and well from what this Probation lady has told me im looking at 9-12 months of probation, possibly time in Juvy, I'll have to take these drug classes, and I may be subjected to a house arrest thing.

Disposition: (mar 3rd)

Who thinks 9-12 months + all the other shit fits the crime? I've never heard of anyone getting pinned w/ some much probation time just for a few fuckin seeds and being incorigible

Move our next year and tell your parents they can suck your balls. If they have a problem with it they don't snitch out their own kid wow.Just serve whatever they make you do, move out and be done with it...

I don't understand why parents would call the police on their own children for something like this. Are you planning to go to college after graduating because I don't understand what a parent gets out of doing this. Of course you're going to be working at least. Just be glad they didn't call the cops when you became a legal adult because otherwise it would've been worse, record-wise.

The Probation bitch is trying to convice me what my parents did was the legally correct thing to do and they were right to call the cops on me and I have no room to hate them because I knew what I was doing was illegal and thats what happens.... I really hope she has kids that get into marijuana and she has to "legally" fuck them.


and yes I plan on going to college and shit... always have... I've got the grades for me to get into one too idk why me smoking is such a big deal. Not to mention I have like a 1460 on the SAT.

The Judge blames the reason why I went from a 3.8 my freshmen year to a 2.6 my Junior year was because I started smoking. Little do they know my freshmen year was the year I smoked the most(real reason... school was just easy as shit. 3 classes a day, half days every day, and fridays off... it was a block schedule thing but I moved after freshmen year)... but I have decided to try and play a good kid and play it off like this was one of my 1st times hoping to get by w/ some easy shit but no... 9+ fuckin months and god knows what. After I get my real disposition im coming out full stoner and wearing my NORML tee to every fuckin drug class and piss test I do. I am going to stay clean tho... I just have too...

Wow man, that's awful. I'm so sorry for you, no one should be treated like that for smoking cannabis or possessing seeds. Did they say you were intending to grow with them and then supplying? It's so much bullshit, their concept of justice is flawed. Your parents think they are correct and doing the best for you, trying to scare you out of trouble. They obviously don't want to accept the truth about cannabis and the history of the laws against it.

 

I know... no it was just a pocession charge.
The only 2 pocession charges they have in Indiana
is below 30 grams and above 30 grams
so basically the couple of seeds I have can be seen as what it is all the way up to 29.9 grams. I think the only reason the cop bothered w/ a couple seeds is because my parents were trying to convince him to press charges so I would learn my lesson... I think normally and in my past experience is if you get caught w/ a few seeds its a slap on the wrist and they just tell you not to do it anymore.

Pocession of Marijuana means all parts of the plant... stem, seeds, and the bud. Thats what I got charged w/. Under 30 grams of stems or bud would get me the same thing I am getting now. I guess they could have said I wanted to grow them but thats bullshit I dont have a single gardening device or pot holder anywhere in my house.

Really its complete bullshit.

 

Dam. That's Harsh, I got 6 months probhation with UA's and couldn't drive for 60 days for being charged with possession and paraphenilla.

 

I'd punch my mom in the fuckin face if she did that to me. My dad though, gives me goods, so I know he wont rat me out.

I've been smoking for 4 years... it sucks but I guess we all get caught eventually.

Seeds are pocession unless there in the ground.

My advice
Try and talk your parents out of things, do whatever you can to reduce charges
You won't be able to change their minds no doubt, but you can come off and scared and innocent for the time being and hopefully convince them that peer pressure and other stressful teenage obstacles have really interfered with your life
Next
Continue to smoke if you want, if so, don't even keep pot on you or at your house
Buy with friends and smoke it on weekends, never even store it for the day, just let your friends take priority
They can hold on to it etc

I really feel your pain, not because it has happend to me (it has not) but because it could have happened to me if my dad didn't smoke pot in his youth
He is aware that I smoke and engage in other illegal normal teenage activities and just hopes I make smart decisions for myself

Once you can demand dependence or move out, give them a big 'fuck you' blow smoke into their faces and just walk out the door

 

i was 16 wen i got busted.i had 2 small ass roaches in my ashtray of my truck. first time of being in trouble ever. A year supervised probation had a curfew, and 3 months of a revoked lisense for having them in my truck . So yea it pretty much blows.....Not 2 mention my dad got bust mayb 8 months b4 with about a pound of weed. So the cops and judges new of me cuz of my dad...
