Ok so here's the situation. I have a job interview Tommorrow with a Camera store. My dreads look like crap right now. Im pretty sure I cant get them to look spiffy for the interview. If this job is offering more than 10/hr, and they dont like my dreads....I guess I have to cut them out? Considering I NEED the money right now, I can really afford to pass this up for just a hair style. What do you guys think?

do what you think is right. but seriously, if they don't like you because of your hair, thats not the kind of person i would want to work for. but it's your call, man

wear a hat and tuck the dreads into it, and if they ask say you have chemical burns on your head...

a classy looking bandana? a nice hat? or just tie your dreads back so they're not hanging out all crazy?

i guess it's easier for a girl. i went on a job interview recently and just wore a fancy head scarf to hide the dreads.

If you were female you could wear a headscarf n say your muslim, thats what I do...except I am... Maybe wear a turban! Or put them into a pony tail if you can, that tends to look more professional..

They are not long enough to be pulled back yet. I guess Ill just try a hair band.

Well I respect that you need the money, thats totally realistic but to call your dreads "just a hairstyle" man.....thats....weird. My dreads are so so much more than just a hairstyle to me. I'd say if they're just a hairstyle go ahead and whack 'em anyways

I was in a similar situation for a job at ford. I got a plain black hair band from claire's accessories or somewhere like that and tied up the rest with a band. If your suited and booted they probably won't even notice.. They just wanna see that your making an effort, if they ask about 'em. You've got them for spiritual reasons. Can't argue with that, it'd be discrimination.
