hello all as you may know i was worried about being pregnant last month due to a comment my fiance (shane) made. also we had a few bumbs in the road with our relationship and worked through it and well each month i get my period i mark it in my phone well my period usually comes around the 26 or 27 of the month. this month my period did not come so i may be pregnant. i have one question though. aiden has been weaning himself from breastfeeding so could that mess with my hormones and make my period not come????????

to all who care i am officially pregnant with my second child !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! woohoo after this baby no more kids for me. i am so excited and yet so stressed at the same time. as soon as i peed on the stick and the test said i am pregnant i just got a rush of things i needed to do. plus on top of all that we will be moving into a bigger better place maybe even a house. so i am ecstatic and yet worried at the same time.

    yey! congrats to you!!!!!!!!! *hugs*
I have read that pregnancy can cause your milk to dwindle because of the hormones. Maggie would be great to talk to about this....

Hey, congrats, I was just going to answer that, no, if you are already menstruating regularly, a weaning toddler will NOT effect your cycle, but pregnancy WILL.

You will most likely see a drop in supply, somewhere between 12 and 16 weeks, maybe sooner. To be honest, there is nothing you can do to make more milk. He's already weaning, he may continue to "dry nurse" or he may stop soon, OR he may only nurse occasionally and pick up again after the baby comes and there is a lot of milk there. Every baby is different.

    How old is Aiden again?

aiden is 19 months now. and i am 6 weeks pregnant. i hate the doctors. yesterday i made an apt to confrirm my pregnancy and one i had to wait damn near 2hours even with an apt two when i was finally seen by a doctor i told her i took a home pregnancy test and it came back positive and for a couple days i have been having pain in my groin. the first thing she said (in a cheery voice) oh your probly having a miscarriage or an ectopic pregnancy. she wrote out refferals to get blood work and internal ultrasound and to go see my ob. the refferals take about 2 weeks so shane called my ob and told them what was going on and that we would have to wait and they said no go to the er asap. so at 4 pm we went to the er waited for 4 hours until i was seen and got everything done there i didnt leave until like 1030pm. what a day i dont think im going to keep going to that doctor's office.

Could you look into a midwife? Check your insurance to make sure you're covered for one, and look into midwifery care. It's tons more personal.

    second what hf said.
I had pain there, too....we later found that there was nothing wrong and that it was just a bladder infection or something of that nature. I hope that yours isn't serious.
But if you're not covered for a midwife, definately find a new doctor! One who you can see more often and who's a little more personal.
