So I was thinking the other day...Say I got injured and went to the doctors or hospital and I'm prescribed a low dose of painkillers. Because I have a rather high tolerance and they never start off with anything more then, say codeine. I'm guessing this wouldn't be a too bright idea, but I'd like more opinions- would it be wise to inform the doctor that I do have quite a tolerance and, therefore, would need more and/or stronger painkillers to effectly surpress the pain? Or would it just make me seem like a junkie trying to get more pills?
P.S I'm sorry for the bad grammar/spelling/whatever I screwed up on. I'm flying extremely high on some opiates right now actually so who knows how messed up this post is. I can't even proof read it because I'm literally seeing doubles lol.

    Thanks for your time guys.

I get 90 7.5 lortabs a month. I'm also on a fentanyl pain patch. I have a really high tolerance and I'm supposed to take one pill at a time up to three times a day. However, for it to help me AT ALL I have to take at least 4 pills. If I'm really hurting, I'll take more. For example, today I took 4 at once, than like 3 an hour later. Yeah, I do CWE a lot. I know how bad it is! In order for me to not run out, I obviously cannot take them every day. (haha, I know this tolerance isn't high at all compared to some people... but it is for me.)

I'm already in a ton of pain.. but I'm scared that when I have my next surgery they won't up my dose (because they don't realize how much I'm taking at a time and I'm scared to tell them...) and yeah.. god I hate this cycle!
