Just curious, what are you and why? It seems their are people from both sides of the fence here. I am pro life.
So you and your 60s dissent???? What about the femminest movement that was a major part of that? What about womens rights? EVERY SPERM IS SACRED I'm off for a wank jack ass.
I'm both I believe that if you went out and had sex withoug protection it is wrong to not give that child a life because it was your own damn fault but I also belive that if someone raped you or there was incest involved that abortion is okay it doesn't seem right to have to raise a child who would always remind you of a time that wasn't pleasant or wanted because in your heart you wouldn't really love that child and yes people say why don't you give the child up for adoption but all through that pregnancy you would be giving that child hateful thoughts and I think the child would be better off gone because all we are is a soul and that soul can move on. peace, love & daisys -shaina
people should be allowed to do whatever they want as long as they dont harm anybody else. babies inside bellies are elses.
As american's it's our choice to decide what we want to do with our bodies, now that being said do I agree with Abortion no, should it be illegal or banned no. So you could say I'm pro-life but I like being pro-choice, we are who we are and because we all have our own minds we are entitled to our own choices.
Well, to me it is all an opinion. There can never be an absolute right or wrong one. Therefore, I believe the only answer that gives people the right to decide for themselves is a pro-choice approach, sociologically speaking. Personally, I tend to be pro-life with my own choices, but I believe everyone should have the right to make their own choices and opinions, so, in that respect, I am pro-choice, and politically speaking I favor a pro-choice standpoint. Is this confusing? If you don't think abortion is right, then don't have one! If you have decided that abortion is the best option when considering all alternatives, then you should have a right to do so.
I am staunchly pro-choice. Too many people confuse being pro-choice with being pro-abortion. I do not believe that if a girl is stupid and gets pregnant that abortion is a legitimate option. I believe that, in cases like that, the girl should have the kid and put it up for adoption. However, in cases of rape, incest, or prior knowledge that the baby will die at a young age/live a short life of intense pain/etc, then abortion should be considered a very viable option. But, regardless of my what my opinions are in specific cases, I support a woman's right to choose, even if I don't agree with that choice.
an embryo is but a bundle of cells with no feeelings (of pain or emotion) yet people get so worked up about it being gotten ridden of. whats the deal man?
I'm pro-death. I don't really appreciate the terminology. Everyones pro-life and pro-choice right? That being said, I support a womans choice. There are many social factors which means that abortion is positive for society. Roe Vs Wade was originally a poverty issue. The issue brought before the supreme court was whether some states could ban abortion and other not, which lead to the wealthy in anti-abortion states being able to cross the state border, while poor women we're stuck with babies they couldn't support in the first place. The supreme court decided that it was wrong to effectivly ban abortions for only the poorer citizens, who in reality we're the ones more likely to have abortion nessecary.
im pro life. i belive abortion is murder no matter how far along you are but that is my personal belife and i understand feeling trapped im 5 mnths pregnant myself with out a father insight. kid's dad was an asshole too many problems and i was sure i couldnt raise this kid on my own. convinced id be the worst mom ever to walk the earth because truthfully my mom sucked and i didnt have the nuturing thing down. i considered abortion but i couldnt do it. i understand the notion though and though i belive its wrong i wouldnt hastle anyone who makes the choice. they are scared and yelling obscenities at them will not help. check the stat almost 80 % of women regret having abortions but feel cornered
I disagree (you are entitled to your own opinion though), but just for the sake of mentioning it what about a fetus? An embryo is only an embryo for a few weeks... Then it becomes a fetus. A fetus can feel pain (it is one of the first things devealoped) and they can feel emotions, at least we know they can feel fear because pregnant women have talked about the fetus jumping when there is a loud noise. So what would be your stance on a fetus?
but yet fetuses are breathing! and i dont think anyone can really tell if they are pregnant after the embryo has become a fetus.
I think that you have made an awesome descision, for both you and the child! I also agree with you that yelling at women who do have abortions and things like that is not going to help. The fact that so many women regret getting abortions is also a very valid point to mention... Wish I would have thought of that. But I do not beleive that being pro-life is being anti-femminism as it seems people have made it sound. Femminism is about equality and choice. Women have the choice to have unprotected sex. But with every choice comes the possibility of consequences. That is the only bad part about having choices. A consequence can be getting pregnant. But if you are not willing to face the consequences, and just look for a way out it is irresponsible and just downright acting childish. So the lesson (and this will go with anything)- Don't make the choice is you can't face the possible consequences! (along the same lines as "if you can't do the time, don't do the crime" "or you have to lay in the bed you make"). I believe the choice goes back farther, not whether to have an abortion or not, but whether to have unprotected sex or not. But as far as rape and stuff like that goes, I can't say I am FOR abortion, but I can be more sympathetic towards the women in that case than just some girl who got knocked up and is looking for a quick fix.
a reflex does not equal fear...That is the same hing as hitting your knee wih the little rubber hammer and your leg moving. It wasn't cause it hurt lots and you conciously though "wow, i should kick", it is cause your nervous system works
