Me and my friends made a band but it's not the music right now that is the problem but it's the fact that I'm left wing and they are right wing and I don't want to sound like hitler but I just fell I can't play till they are a little left wing.

wow...okay. use some punctuation, please. aaaand make a little more sense...

but, anyways. you can't change people like that. it's not right. just because you don't agree with them, doesn't mean you can't be in a band. just don't ever bring up those kinds of issues. if it gets too much of a problem, leave the band.

simple fact is, you can't change people.

I would quit that band.....right wingers don't make for good musicians

How the hell can you be right or left wing at age 13 and really know what that means?

Anyway, I play in a band in Columbus called the Guinea Worms and we are a-political.

yes please, use proper punctuation and grammar.

You're in a band to play, not to discuss politics. Why are you worrying about this shit anyways? You're 13, go have some fun and jam with your friends. Politics are for later.

its gonna be hard to have a band with people you can't totally click with, i suggest that though you are keeping this band now, don't close the door to chances to find other band members. and if you do, slowly, distance yourself from going to practices with your current band, or tell them right out how you feel about the situation. bands are supposed to be fun.

Because in a band, politics can have an influence on music. I just try to not worry about it. Most people around here don't like government, the rest are government. Pretty much all are anti-gay rights... but I don't worry about that.

if you like politics so much, quit the band... but i'd say fuck it. politics shouldn't get in the way of art.

    1. SORRY for the bad wording.
2.I know About left and right wing because I'm not blinded by the lies that i'm told and if you don't think I know what the words mean then lisen to this a Libertarians support a great deal of liberty and freedom of choice in both personal and economic matters. They believe government's only purpose is to protect people from coercion and violence. They value individual responsibility, and they tolerate economic and social diversity.
Left-Liberals generally embrace freedom of choice in personal matters, but support central decision-making in economics. They want the government to help the disadvantaged in the name of fairness. Liberals tend to tolerate social diversity, but work for what they might describe as "economic equality."
Right-conservatives favor freedom of choice on economic issues, but want official standards in personal matters. They tend to support the free market, but frequently want the government to defend the community from what they see as threats to morality or to the traditional family structure.
Statists want government to have a great deal of control over individuals and society. They support centralized planning, and often doubt whether liberty and freedom of choice are practical options. At the very bottom of the chart, left-authoritarians are usually called socialists, while right-authoritarians are generally called fascists.

Because in a band, politics can have an influence on music.

Yes to whom who said this that's of the resoning behind me and they are O.K. guys it's that they do things that........you know........not hate......But you know (i hope) a like........god I sound like bush at the debae (ha ha ha).....A little bug I guss I can call it. that just you know the right thing you sholud do but it's just a worry I guess i can say.Well I'm comeing over 10/9/2004 SAT. to talk and maybe play. And there O.K. guys but I guss it's I'm very very right or not right and I bevlive in somethings they do, do is just whrog....like one time they had some drinks and had some left in it then throws it up in the air then it blows up on the street. then a good time later not to long but you know I think to one of them about it and he tryed to say that littering is not a big deal. I've been in and out of bands for the last 25 years. I would tell you that the bands that gave me the most satisfaction musically were with people who I did not see eye to eye with. My current band has been together in one form or another since 1989, and I do not know the political affiliation of any member of the band. I do know how well they play, sing and write. I am a registered democrat, and other than the last election when I was registered as a Green Party member, I have been a democrat all my life. Most of my friends are registered Republicans. We have good natured arguments. But I don't forsee them changing their veiws. Nor do they see me changing mine.. People might not always agree with everything you stand for, but that does not mean you can't have friendships with those you disagree with..or a great band.

    Hey,

Greetings from one Columbusian to another! :)

It's been said, but don't let the political disposition of the members of the band stop you from playing with them... however, if their disposition ALLTOGETHER disagrees with you.. then that's a problem...

    Consider what it is..
