I agree with that Cod. I just went from snow leopard to windows 7 because my wireless wasnt working for some reason. I couldnt figure it out so I just went ahead and installed windows 7. Now my wireless works but everything else sucks. It runs super slow compared to MAC OS and it crashed from time to time. I downloaded a copy of Mac OSX but unfortunately it doesnt seem to want to boot from a USB key so I put that whole project on hold for now cause I dont have time.

In hindsight, I totally should have put more effort into fixing my wireless issues.

I forgot, Mac-a-roons don't pay 4 times as much for hardware to broaden their horizons beyond a candy coated UNIX GUI.

Damnit, my post didn't go up...

Neways, mac is based off of BSD. Thats like saying windows 7 is a candy coated DOS GUI...

Mac is superior, trust me. I work on both computers and own both too. Mac is better in most areas, sorry :(

It's worth every penny. One of the best investments I have ever made.

The only reason I bought a mac is because I was tired of fixing my own computer :/ So know that mac has way less problems, but nothing is perfect.

And since its completely different, it might take a couple weeks to navigate well around it. But once you do, ooooo. Like one of my fav things is that you have multiple desktops. So you can do homework on one, and web on another. One of many things I like about it :)

I don't support EITHER evil software giants and use alternatives wherever possible.

If you need to "invest" (LOL) in the most expensive system because the cheaper is not worth your while or beyond you to keep clean is your prerogative. But it doesn't mean it's the most versatile and "best" solution for everyone.

I work on both computers too, and PC's are far more efficient and versatile. Hands down, no contest in the professional world, in the hacking world, in the gaming world...

No contest. Don't fool yourself, or go fool yourself, I don't care.

Whaaa? You obviously don't work in the professional world then... Mac aren't in the contest for hacking? You must be out of your fucking mind. That alone shows that you don't know what your talking about. Here are things that mac is better than windows

    Hacking
    Everyday use
    Graphic design
    Virtually virus free

    Here are some for windows

    Common
    Games
    More hardware support

Mac isn't the best for everyone, just most people who are not hard core gamers... You know its funny, because everyone I have met in real life that doesn't like mac have never owned a mac... Hacking with windows, LMAO.No real hacker uses windows to do that, only script kiddies.

BTW, lets use your diluted world as an example. If PC's are "far more" efficient and versatile, support more hardware, plays more games, and is cheaper; Why would anyone buy a mac?... I guess all mac owners are just fooling themselves and wasting a lot of money...

Typical Mac-A-Roon arrogant consumer whore response. There's clearly a niche for tools and fools... The arrogance and superiority disillusions of mac users is one of the biggest jokes in the industry!

I work for a fast paced IT company with over 400 PC workstations with most employees running over 20 applications in the taskbar they must constantly switch between. Because of the Mac OS interface, it would take Macs MINUTES to do what these workstations can do in SECONDS... Macs are best suited for grandma's who want to check email and pictures... and tools who feel the need to pay for music and videos. LOL.

I use Safari on a MacBook Pro to watch Netflix all the time. It should work for you.

By the way, relaxx, you sound ignorant about the Mac. For ten years, the Mac can app switch the same way Windows does, with Cmd-Tab. It sounds like you don't know that. I am many times more productive on a Mac than on a PC. I don't run any virus software and I've never had a problem.

LOL, shit.. 3 extra steps to do what our employees do in 1, times 20 apps they need to use within ~ 2 minutes... that adds up to to a hell of a lot of lost productivity... workforce nightmare, company crippled in hours... FAIL!

There's a REASON why we can't get our business software on macs... company simply couldn't exist without PC's and windows software... plain and simple... like it or not... go back to dreamland.

How can one keystroke combination be 3 extra steps? You are very arrogant.

OMFG! one keystroke and you have a SPECIFIC app out of 20 up in .2 seconds right!? yeah, dream on. Uhhh no, you still have to find it and select it.

Arrogant, fuck, they way you Mac tools go on about your overpriced computers you think they sucked your cock and cooked you breakfast every morning.

Mac wouldn't need to switch between 20 app's, it would make them one...

Plus, "application" is a mac term :D Why don't you use your "program" windows words?

AND you only have one desktop, we have an unlimited amount. So not only do we have "tabs" but also different desktops.

And please explain in detail, why a mac takes longer to do something vs a PC? Give an example. Doesn't make sense to me considering mac develops their software and operating system specifically for the hardware. This is considerably better, look into a gentoo build. Fastest operating systems arounds. Same idea

Because your company sucks ass... either 1, your programmers suck balls. or 2, you don't know to simply use a programming language that is universal like Java.
