Wow, I completely disagree with you. I think that since I came out and told everyone that I am bisexual, that I am more open with myself, and the world, and whether that means people will like me more or less, doesnt change whether it is a pro or con. It matters because I am being who I am, not what society wants me to be.

Sorry I didn't really specify what I meant, like in SOCIETY it would be cons more so than pros. But in the one persons life then pro could overrule very easily.

    Hmm, let's see...

Pro- You tend to be more individualistic, going with your heart, mind, and soul
Con- Society's consensus is not crazy about individuality
Pro- You embrace life with a better open mind
Con- Church Catholicism, a dominant religion, isn't so...Open

Hm, all I can think of for now

Being bisexual is great: you have double the chance at love...but if the guy/girl you with is jealous they are jealous of EVERYONE!....

all in all I love being bisexual....I'm so gald I'm not straight...I should mention that I have a preference for girls.

cons - discriminations, people's weird misconceptions, backbiting, assumption that you're attracted to every member of the same sex, pervy guys who like to watch me kiss my gf, being generally disapointed with the close mindedness of many of this world's people

pros - the sex, the connection two women can share, pride parades, the support in the gay community, talking really loudly about gay sex to make ignorant people uncomfortable, my girlfriend...

i'd say it's pretty even. i like being gay most of the time.

i couldnt be stuffed weighing up the pros and cons. i think it's a waste of time. im happy with who i am, so there are no cons. i dont see other peoples' negative opinion about homosexuality as a con because it is external. it doesnt affect me unless i let it. and i don't :)

That is easier said than done. I got in a fight at school because a girl was calling me some nasty names. Oh well I got a couple of days off from school for that.

It can be hard sometimes not to let what someone says hurt you, but if you have a certain mindset, then it is easier to do so...

I would say pro because you are a lot more aware as your mind is open and more expanded. Like the saying:

"The mind once expanded to the dimensions of larger ideas, never returns to its original size." -Oliver Wendell Holmes

Being bi is great if you're a woman, not so great if you're a man. Homophobia is the epitome of the gender-based double standard. It comes down a lot harder on men than on women. Bi women may have "double the chance at love," but bi men? Fat chance.

exactly. it's hard to just let it go when people throw shit at you and get scrambled egg in your hair.. ehm, anyway, i've never fought back but i've been deeply hurt by peoples' comments. and it's never people i don't give a shit about, who cares about them anyway? it's people that i love and thought i could trust who just go behind my back and say terrible things that make me question all my friends, regardless of their supposed open-mindedness.
