I recently started working a bit with Amanita muscaria mushrooms and have been experimenting smoking them with tobacco and weed. Anyway, I can't find any info about tolerance buildup anywhere including the shroomery. They work on entirely different receptor sites; Psilocybin works on serotonin receptors whereas Amanitas work on GABA receptors, yet I want to make sure there's not any significant tolerance before I eat these shrooms I've been saving. Thanks, peace :2thumbsup:
It's a very mild high but definitely noticeable. I've smoked it with both weed repeatedly and tobacco repeatedly and it works well with both. It's a more lucid high with more free flowing thoughts and less cloudiness imo. Kinda a spacey, light head high with mids/nug. Headies tend to overpower it unless you keep smoking it. It also counteracts the cottonmouth weed produces because the amanita causes salivation. With tobacco the effects are more pronounced. Very spacey feeling, calm, tranquil, serene. Interestingly subtle in effects but certainly worth it. If you keep smoking I had a moment after about 2 joints where 30 mins after finishing there was a specific moment of absolute inner peace. Worth testing out if you're interested. It's more of an entheogen than it is a recreational high. I only had 4 grams of it so i've been testing out the smoking route and so far it's been a worthwhile experiment. It also causes some awesome lucid dreams! Anyway, any idea about cross tolerance anyone?
No they shouldn't cross tolerate but I'd probably give your system a little time to recover in general.
Smoking them has a very harsh and unpleasant taste, tried that again this passed weekend. However, while already on an oral dose, it produced purely the inebriating effects but much more intense. Each toke also made my head feel like it was literally expanding
