check out my band, Magnum Carnage! We play a very preogressive form of Apocalyptic Acid-Black Metal... from Hawaii! Rockin' you with a NEW EP, "Digital Wolves".... Check out some tracks... definately trippy stuff! MAGNUM CARNAGE
Sounds more interesting then there songs I think. The first song sounded a bit black metalish, but then I tried the Superzombie song and it was laughable. I couldn't consider that black metal or psychedelic even if I tried.
There is nothing psychedelic about this band! And the Black Metal parts just don't cut it. Also, is that a Midi section I just heard in Panspermia? Midi?! WHAT! Sorry guys, but it sounds like Magnum Garbage to me.
I like it, I wouldn't exactly call it Pschedelic though, its definitely listenable for the most part. For a myspace band, it's decent \m/
http://www.myspace.com/thehollowearththeory (song - buried) for a myspace band, check this shizzle out.
Buried is pretty decent. One foot on the ground is horrid. Overall, not a big fan of their clean vocals, the scream vocals aren't bad. Instrumentally, they're good.
They were supporting a band called Skindred (reggae-metal which I wasn't too keen on until I saw them live) in a local club/pub place near myself.. And they were also in Metal Hammer magazine a couple of months ago. I didnt know they were supporting before they came onstage but they were so good and I recognised the opening song from the Metal Hammer CD. It's amazing how studio and live performances affect your passion for a band differently - well, mine anyway.
Okay. Not a fan of MIDI myself, I guess it's a matter of preference. Just unusual to hear it as a section in a Metal band, Happy New Year.
I didn't hear it, but there's a Japanese band called Gonin-Ish who does some cool acid/black/jazz/progressive metal. They're definitely worth checking out as well
