Tea tree oil is great to keep the little feckers away.
There is some stuff you can get from the chemist but i cant remember the name of it - do a google search and you should be able to come up with a few things x

OHH and im loving ya dreads x

I've heard good things about this:

    www.delacet.com

Never had to try it myself so I can't give a personal account, but it's worth a shot.

Thank you!! I have heard that tea tree is good for repelling them but not sure if I can use oil to dilute it and if this would make my locks fall apart?? And will it drive them away when they already in the hair?

Are your dreads are naturally formed ones (as in not back combed)?

    delacet!!!!!
works a treat, kills lice and eggs so you only need one treatment. you can also spritz a bit on to prevent them too!
i have heard of one little boy getting a reaction from it and getting sore, but i have used it and never had a problem. perhaps do a spot test thingy 1st ;)

    Nice dreads.

The Delacet works great, but while you wait to get your order apply olive oil to your hair and let it sit for two hours before washing it out.

a hairdryer can help with lice.. hottest setting and cook the little buggers. You need to do it a few times a day for a week or so though!

i've heard isopropyl alcohol works. Just dump like half a bottle on your head and tie a bag up on there to fumigate the little assholes for an hour or so. I don't know how safe/effective this is but i know people do it. As for the locks... they are looking excellent :) and good luck with the lice.

i hear that Apple Cider Vinegar Rince is pretty much a universal cure for anything dread related, soak your hair in it, leave wrapped up in a towel or bag for 30mins or so then wash THOROUGHLY.

it will kill anything in your hair and also give a deep clean, ive not done it myslef as ive never needed to but i have been told it stinks a lot and whatever you dont dont get it in your eyes.

    nice dreads btw

More sound advice thank you!! I can safely say that Derbac liquid does not work...I used it on me and the kids two days ago and I have still found live lice in their hair and my head is STILL itching.
I bought some of that herbal stuff, which I will use tommorow...and try a vinegar soak afterward as well (thank you Soaring Eagle for that : ) )
