Purpose and meaning to life

The purpose of life is to experience the meaning of life. The meaning of life is the ideal.

So, we are to experience the ideal.

What do you find the purpose and meaning of life to be?

 

Whatever I want. I give the world all the meaning it has for me.

 

I find it to be subjective. If people live their lifes without being troubled about any purpose they are lucky. They are just experiencing it indeed. When people are troubled by the question what purpose their life has it generally ends with either the conclusion that there is no purpose or that you have to give it purpose (like the people that are not bothered by this question are generally automatically doing).

 

There is only what purpose you create for yourself.

the meaning of life is to save money on trips to the store

 

"to drive fast on empty roads with nothing in mind but falling in love and not getting arrested"

the meaning of life is to discover a meaning for life. not to imply that there is an objective meaning out there, even for each individual, waiting to be discovered. but that we should create our own.

 

"I was put on this planet for one reason... to play hockey."

The ideal is a lie...

 

Theres no such thing as Religion----I dont believe in it.....You'd be pretty much asking someone "Whats your Favorite Color?" when you ask them "What religion do you believe in?" It's all the same crap---Whether Judaism, Islam, Christianity---it's all trying to find spiritual enlightenment.

I don't know purpose of my life. But if I find it, I won't have purpose to live anymore.

Now it is a mistery, but what when you will find out? And truth will be shitty? Like there is no purpose?

 

Well...... To free myself from ego and illusion - that make the soul do more deeds and accumulate more and more karma to release the bind on the soul in this never ending vicious circle and achieve liberation.
Liberation is when the soul is no longer bound to these impurities and comes out of the cycle and the result is Eternal Bliss :dizzy2:

What if your life has no purpose to you, but that may not prevent your existence from having purpose to someone else?

The impact of being someone else's purpose could vary from being a pawn in some power broker's chess game as he manipulates you to do his bidding, or on the positive side could mean simply being loved by a friend or relative, or a soul mate (with no strings attached).

Does our life have a purpose that is (so far) hidden from us?
It may help us more fully achieve that purpose if we know what it is, so one can argue that finding it may be worthwhile or failing that, at least some value in the seeking.

 

The meaning? Thats quite the question, try asking yourself in all seriousness "Why do I care?" You will be stumped or have a revelation.

My definition: "Im just here for the ride, I got on this thing im getting off, thats for sure!"

 

life itself is all the purpose and meaning it needs. but you can give your own more if you want it to.

 

Because I don't want to go blindlessly through life not knowing for what I am doing all of this.

 

You knew why right before you were born... The quest is to remember what it was.

 

I did not receive that quest.
