here's the chicken coop... that's where the chickens lay their eggs... my chickens are christian (notice pic of jesus in background) and don't mind that i'm an eggnostic

 

this is the door they go in and out of in the spring, summer and fall... in the winter, there is a small side hatch where they push on the blanket and get in and out so as heat is conserved inside... the coop is not cleaned in the winter as their composted chicken dung makes heat to keep em warm...

 

here they are running around the yard... they like to play under my time travel/teletrandsporting device pictured here but i always make sure its turned off when not in use so none of them don't get away... lemme know if anyone wants me to stop on by... just give me your galactic coordinates

doing some carpentry repairs around the house... i like to get a little fancied up when doing home repairs... not the usual carhardt grungy attire... woops! i noticed there's a wardrobe malfunction and something slipped out

 

life isn't all work on the farm... i always find the time to have some liesure and play a little golf... but i don't like my shots to be so deep in the rough

 

here's the garden, around these parts, you need a fence 7 ft high to keep the deer out and then you have to dig in a mesh fence i foot below ground level to keep the ground hogs out

 

notice the heavy applications of hay... aka mulch hay which is readily aquired from a local farmer who got his hay ruined by rain which leads to a moldy hay and hence inedible by horses and cows

this system of gardening is commonly called a "no work garden" as the hay both controls weeds and fertilizes the soil through it decomposition and by its encouragement of earthworms as they love it... also, it keep the ground damp so you don't have to water

and because its a "no work garden", i have lots of time for martini sipping... if you ever make a martini for me, i like mine easy on the tini
