alright so my cakes mycelium grew at different rates, and i have some that are almost covered and i have some that are completely covered in it. there is one i've noticed that is starting to show little heads..

    what i'm asking is:
the ones that are starting to grow, should i put them in the terrarium first? or should i wait for the others to finish cakin up...
    and
if i do do that, is it safe to place new cakes in there after there are others?

    Thats good news raz, congrats!.
You can put the ones that are ready in the terrarium first. Make sure they are 100%! You can put other fully colonized cakes in at any time and take them out at any time.

What kind of terrarium are you using?

a shotgun terrarium, it's not the best and stuff but i came to the conclusion it's suitable for me.

Yeah you can have many different projects at different stages in a shotgun at once no problem. :)

Good Luck. I have a small tub thats a few days away from being put into fruiting conditions. Lost one to trich a few days ago though.

If youre just fruiting from the cakes, you should be fine to throw the ones that are done in the FC. I would wait a day or 2 after full colonization just to be sure the inside is ready, though.

Shotgun FCs are actually surprisingly efficient. You can get some serious yields from them using bulk.

I tried to rush this project and didn't let my grains consolidate before spawning. I know that was what caused the problem. Its worth it to wait.
