ok so i can pick any topic i want from the 1920's to 1993 and i wanted to do something with hippies. so i am still debating exactly what to do. i want to do something with the drug use of the 1960s or how hippies in a way protested against the war like joining communes, participating in free love, and drug use but i dont know what to do and one other one is the counterculture of the 1960s. i got more information on the drug use but i dont know what i could prove in my reserch paper... any ideas?

How about this question: To what extent did the counter-culture (communes, free love, drugs) contribute to the anti-Vietnam war movement? Was the anti-war movement an outgrowth of the counter-culture? How did the cultural changes of the '60s influance the anti-war movement? To put it another way, who was more typical of the anti-war movement: Abbie Hoffman or Bobby Kennedy? Was it nessesary for people to get "Clean for Gene" for the anti-war movement to prevail? Oh, that would be another question, did the anti-Vietnam war movement succeed?
