Ok this girl who is a great friend of mine and I've known for 9 years had our first random hookup the other night. I just happened out of the blue. Anyways she said she hadn't had a period in like 2 years after she stopped using birth control. She insisted that I would be fine not using a condom and trusted that I dont have any STD and I trusted that she didnt as well. Either way, I'm just worried now about her getting pregnant. Can girls really go 2 years without having their period after stopping the use of birth control? Is she feeding me some bs? (she was kinda drunk and so was I) Should I convince her to take plan B?

Yes it's possible. birth control pills kinda mess up your body cuz they make your body believe that it's pregnant, so when u're on the pill u basically never have your period (there is bleeding but it's not period).
Generally, when u stop taking the pill, say if u wanna have a baby, your body doesn't immediately start working normally again. Having said that, it takes a few weeks/months, but 2 years is a long time ! I hope your friend consults a doctor once in a while...

So i don't think your friend was bs-ing u, but if i were her i'd still use contraception when i have sex, as a precautionary principle.

It doesn't mimic pregnancy, but yes, you don't have a real period on it. 2 years is a long time to not have a period, even after stopping bc. Usually that should go back to normal w/in 6 months, at most. It's entirely possible, I wouldn't call bs just yet, but definitely encourage her to go to a doctor. That's not normal. Is she overweight?

I wouldn't consider her overweight but if you asked her she would probably say 10-15 lbs. She is also a nurse so obviously has some medical knowledge in this department. It just sounded weird to me, and the fact that we were kind of drunk and she told me all this made me scratch my head about it the next day. It was a little awkward between us after as well, although I'm sure it won't effect our friendship at all just maybe a little weird for a bit. I don't think she would lie to me about something like that and I'm certain she does not want to get pregnant anytime soon

I have heard that if a women is anorexic or something like that she can loose her periods. But if she is getting enough nutrition, I would think her body would go back to normal patterns. If she is a nurse she would know more then me.
