Question ???

This is prob a dumb post, but i was talking with my mom about alice in wonderland, and i cant remember the Cats Name , whats he supposed to represent ??? anyone help me

 

Nah it's not a dumb question, I've here over a year and trust me there have been far worse.

The cat is the Chesher (sp) cat. I've no idea about symbolism.

I've only seen parts of the movie, but from what I saw it looks like an acid trip of sorts

 

its not based on an acid trip. there was no such thing when the book was written.

 

If by acid you mean opium, then, yes, you are correct.

i coulda swore i read something about the mushroom thing being a myth somewhere on erowid, and it was really inspired by opium.

i'm sure it's in one of the links there if anyone cares to look. but the drugs she took to help write the story arent as important as the story itself...

 

How very true.
I don't know or care about the drug thing, but knowing a bit about history the opium theory might be true. Or perhaps he just had a great imagination.
